!!!!!!! We have been utterly, utterly hopeless since my last post months ago! Should be DF now but nope- owe a bit more than we did in January, arghhh!!!!!!!
No more messing around now. I am ON IT.
When I'm focused on everything we manage to clear tonnes but when I'm not we just seem to tread water where we are! So, time for focus to return.
The debt is currently split between two credit cards- first mission is to go hell for leather to get the first one paid off. I reckon we might even be able to do it when pay day comes at the end of the month- if we throw everything at it between now and then. That's the plan.
My current account is in a bit of limbo today as I have a few things like vets bills and shopping that aren't showing up online yet but once those have cleared I should be able to transfer a few £100 onto the CC, tomorrow perhaps.
This week we are going to have a using-up week food wise as we have plenty in the cupboards. We'll do a weekly Lidl shop at the weekend and make it as cheap as possible. We have been eating/drinking like kings lately and there is just no need for it!
In fact, my plan of action is going to be pretty much exactly the same as it was in January! DH still hasn't even cancelled his flippin gym membership!
Onwards. No more messing about. Ridiculous that we have got so lax when the end is in sight.

You WILL see me on here tomorrow!!
Since my last post I have done a quick fridge/cupboard/freezer inventory- got the bread maker on (for the first time in MONTHS, and have a quiche baking in the oven. Since we got our chickens we always have more eggs than we eat so WHY do I not bake more quiches?? Used some readymade pastry sat in the fridge and bacon/brie that would have had to go in the bin tomorrow. Oh, and herbs from the garden. So a tasty (hopefully!) meal for next to nothing!

Morning all!
Checked my account and some but not all of the debit card payments are showing online now so I have transferred £200 to the CC and should hopefully be able to transfer another £100 or so tomorrow.
The quiche turned out beautifully! Made a curry in the slow cooker with some left over Sunday roast beef and an old jar of sauce that was good too. Will probably make a veg pasta I think this evening and use up some random things in the fridge.
Beautiful day here!Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

Another £163 paid off the credit card today, to bring the one we are focusing on below the £2k mark.
Our rental income this month should hit our account on Friday, and some payment for some work I have done should hopefully arrive next week- all of which will be thrown at the priority CC, bringing it down to about £1,200. That last £1,200 can then be cleared on OH's payday next Friday.
So, in 10 days we will be left with just one CC left to clear (about £3,800).
Within touching distance now... just need to keep it up!
Enjoying this lovely weather! Spent yesterday evening tending our little vegetable garden- looking forward to some nice 'free' veg!Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

Some money hit our account today so another £601 paid off today- woo hoo!
By this time next week the CC we are focusing on will be GONE!
By this time next month I'd love to get the final CC, and final debt total under £3k- might just be doable!Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061
