Hello everyone,
First of all thankyou for this wonderful forum. So I finally have an Ntk come through on day 29. Peculiarly it is dated the day after I had received the fake parking ticket. But I'm guessing this doesn't really matter? So now am I right that I should email them the soft appeal on their website? Their website only allows a 2000 word limit (is the shortened appeal template within that limit? I'll check).
The other thing I was panicking about was the fact they have the other halfs name on the Ntk.They had got my partners name the wrong way round so i dont want to disclose the correct first name and last name. They're specifically asking for those details again,(highlighted on the website as a requirement) plus an email address that I'm not really happy to give them. I haven't yet tried posting it without those requirements. It could be just a con and will submit anyway.. Please someone advise me as probably can tell I'm a little panicked!
I think i should post an appeal aswell.
Thank you X

Yes the shortened version linked to in newbie thread is fine. If you get a bounce back acknowledgement take a screen shot as well as saving. But if not I would definitely post too, making sure you take it to post office and get free proof of posting. (Don't sent it recorded.)
Put name of keeper correctly for appeal. But keep evidence of PCN with incorrect name! (Mr Smith John)
I think they get your email address when you send appeal anyway if you do it on.ine, so it's up to you whether you do it that way.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Dear Dee,
would you know of Ukpc's actual postal address? Its just from reading other threads on this forum, 'the PO Box 1087, uxbridge.., address seems a bit dodgy.
Kind Regards

Don't forget to include a point that 5 minutes is well within any reasonable grace period that they must provide according to the BPA Ltd Code of Practice. And therefore their breach of that code will result in complaints to the BPA and DVLA.
And make those complaints, too. Tell the DVLA that they have released the keeper details unlawfully, as UKPC are in breach of their KADOE contract as a result of their breach of the BPA CoP.0 -

The DVLA don't care about the KADOE contract. My thread is here - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4992884
But for easiness, here is the reply I got (my bold) -Thank you for your email responding to Elizabeth Symons’s email concerning APCOA. I am responding on behalf of Elizabeth Symons, who is currently unavailable to answer your response.
It may help to understand that the DVLA releases data where reasonable cause has been demonstrated, which in this case APCOA have complied with. As your complaint was about the signage being in breach of the British Parking Associations (BPA) Code of Practice, this would be referred to the British Parking Association for investigation.
As Ms Symons has confirmed, APCOA have been found to have breached the British Parking Associations Code of Practice, which resulted in sanction points being issued. Should APCOA be found to continue to breaching the Code of Practice, the BPA may issue further sanctions which may result in suspension from the Approved Operator Scheme and ultimately access to the DVLA register.
The KADOE Contract, states that the DVLA may suspend or terminate the KADOE service ‘if any sanctions are applied or points placed on the Customers membership licence, or if its membership or Approved Operator Status is suspended or ended’. In this instance, the DVLA has been satisfied that the issues have been addressed appropriately and does not warrant suspension or termination at this point. As Ms Symons stated in her response to you, the breach in this circumstance does not negate whether APCOA had reasonable cause to request your data.
Of course, if you believe that your data has been mishandled in contravention of the Data Protection Act 1998 or the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations 2002, you may present your concerns to the Information Commissioner. You can find further information at the following web address: http://ico.org.uk/concerns.
As, my colleague Ms Symons also pointed out, currently if land is managed by the NHS Trust and they have an appeals process in place, there is no requirement for them to be a member of an Accredited Trade Association. This is being reviewed by the Department for Transport, which will identify what changes would be needed in policy to ensure that the motorist is treated fairly. In this instance the hospital car park is managed by a private party, who are currently members of the British Parking Association.
If you wish to escalate your complaint, I have attached our leaflet, ‘How to contact us or make a complaint’ (INS 101), which gives details on how to do this. You can also find additional information at the following webpage: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/driver-and-vehicle-licensing-agency/about/complaints-procedure.

It appears to me, that unless they are suspended from the BPA/IPC (which we know will never happen), the DVLA will continue to dish out Keepers details.0 -
Thing is, in this case the PPC did NOT have reasonable cause to request details. A 5 minute overstay should not warrant a charge, so they had no cause to request details. DVLA complicit in illegal activities (again).0

In answer to the OP's question in post 4, no I don't. I guess it must be on the appeal so ww here and it could well be a P.O. box number.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. They didn't in mine either as I never received a ticket. :rotfl:
I was complaining about them using the word penalty on their signs.0 -
Hello there,
Just to clear my case a little. I parked literally behind the salon I was visiting with a friend of mine.(oh yes life so hard lol) And had acquired a free parking ticket. She finished sooner than I and was going to move her car when she saw the warden (same time as stated on the ticket first seen). She approached him and explained that I was a customer of the salon and I was due out any moment. (She even said that she could get a top up).He told her to stay out of it, that it's none of her business. So by the time i finished, all in all it took precisely 9 mins.
I did try to find out who the landowner is but it seems nobody knows.
I'm guessing there are many cases like mine no? And I thought these companies didnt care about mitigating circumstances? If UkPC reject my appeal then maybe I will include it in the POPLA stage. (The salon manager will vouch for me as well, I don't have a receipt but I'm a regular and she is aware of the incident.)
I will keep you posted I'm sure of any progress.
Here's to hoping! X0 -

POPLA will have no interest at all and will not adjudicate on what happened on the day don't waste your time, in a fair world it would be the PPC that consider mitigation points, but we all know they just want money.
UKPC's fake wardens are only after their bonus, and he would not take any notice of you let alone your friend.
PPC's use PO box numbers to throw you of the scent of where they actually have their slummy offices (though these slime balls have an office in a very opulent area in Beaconsfield) for various reasons of their own which usually correspond to the rest of their shady practices.0
