dandy-candy - I know it's easy to say but please try not to worry too much, CA125 is also a marker for non-malignant ovarian growths. Hope it does not take too long for the results x

Didn't want to read and run without saying condolences to Lily-plonk and best wishes to Dandy-Candy. Tests are so worrying at the best of times, think it's the not knowing.

Have been stung by nettles today when trying to clear some out. Am hanging on until bedtime to take the sleepy anti-histamine.

Just ordered two of the ceramic poppies from the a Tower of London. They won't come until January or February next year but worth waiting for. The installation already looks stunning.

Right, macaroni and cheese is ready to eat.

  • Pleased to report that due to 2 hours sleep life is worth living again and the Lurcha has found his ping again ( behind the sofa he tells me, where he left it!!! Silly Mumi!!!) and been eating his head off all afternoon with no ill effects. Bad news??? ANOTHER bag of runner beans and courgettes has just arrived from the allotment!!!!!
  • Sorry to jump in on the thread but this is a message for Dandy- Candy:-
Try not to worry too much about your CA125 test. It is purely routine when investigating an ovarian cyst. I have a cyst in my left ovary and I had a scan and this blood test as it gives a bigger picture to the consultant to know if treatment is required. In my case it was determined to be a benign dermoid cyst which unless it grows bigger or causes pain will be left alone. Hope this helps ease a bit of your worry on why you have been asked to have this test. Good luck.

Yesterday was not a good day at all - my sister had that 'early morning phone call' from the hospital yesterday morning and from then on everything became a blur and the whole day went downhill .................. Mum passed in her sleep of a Cardiac Arrest. For some strange reason, on Saturday she was talking - with one of my sisters and my brother - about Tom Jones and 'The Green Green Grass of Home' ............... so we've decided that's GOT to be one of the songs for her funeral :).

Lily I am so sorry to hear about your dear mum, big hugs love xx

Just wanted to say a big 'Thank You' to everybody for all your kind thoughts and good wishes.

Mum had been up/down since the beginning of May, but we honestly thought that the crisis point had been and gone. She'd been allocated a flat in Sheltered Accommodation and was looking forward to moving into it soon .................. think this last water and chest infection was just that little bit too much strain on her heart :(.
