  • Good Morning everyone, cooler, grey skyed and damp feeling this morning but surprisingly warm. We're due rain later on which will be nice for the gardens.

DANDY CANDY hugs pet, get that blood test out of the way as soon as you can and get a diagnosis, chances are that it's not anything too bad although an ovarian cyst is bad enough isn't it? and you'll then be able to stop worrying about all the 'what ifs' that automatically come to you while you're waiting. We're here if you need us, always!!!

Very, very tired this morning as I've been up since 3 am with a lurcha with a poorly tum!!! It must be linked to the hot weather as so many of us have had poorly hounds with upset tums haven't we? Hopefully he'll get over this in 24 hours and not need the vet but why do these things always happen when He Who Knows is away and can't be here for the transport if Docky does need to go to the vet? To add to my woes I've been insect bitten on my right eyebrow and my eyelid is so swollen and droopy I look like I've been in the boxing ring at the Commonwealth Games and come off worse!!! and it's itchy!!! Yukkk!!!

FURRY BEAST OZ hope that the Oz doggie had a good night (you too!) and is feeling OK this morning, poor old fella, look after him.

Have yourselves a good day everyone, Lyn xxx.

God I'm tired. Oz whimpered all night and is still doing so. We hot bunked to keep him company. He's still shaking. And more worryingly refusing cheese and Dentastix and to go past the garden gate. Will be giving the vet a ring this morning I think.

Thanks again for all your get well wishes and for Docky's sluuurp.

  • Good morning all

Lily plonk, I'm so sorry for your loss. Lots of love to you and your family xxx

Dandy candy, good luck for your tests xxx

Hester, haven't got the pattern in the post yet...sorry will hopefully do so today.

I'm up showered, breakfasted and am just waiting for the wm to finish. Need to empty the dw.

Waiting for the mechanic to fox my brake light. He only lives 3 houses away! He's very good and very handy.

A friend is coming around later with her 2 little ones. So that will be nice for my youngest.

I need to pop to a$da for a few bits. Don't know what to do for lunch. Her youngest only eats chicken nuggets and pasta apparently so will pick up,some nuggets.

I've not added up how much I spent yesterday yet....my dd looked beautiful in the clothes though. Oh to be slim and young and beautiful eh! ;)

I shall go and get on with some housework, I'm not as organised as lots of you. I wish I was!

    Love, hugs and spoons xxx

    Afternoon all,

Dandy I look like my Mom in so many ways and I was convinced I would need my gallbladder removed when I hit 40. Whats the phrase 'Fair, Fat and Forty?' My Mom was dark haired but fair, she was fat and forty when she needed her gall bladder removed. Although I'm dark haired (like she was), I am fair skinned, overweight and when I hit 40... well I was just waiting. Not ruling it out for the future of course, but I'm in my early 50s with my gallbladder still a part of me. Of course I understand your anxiety. Another thing, 5 years ago a cyst was found on my husbands kidney. He has problems with his kidneys and a recent scan showed that the cyst had gone. Anyway, I hope all goes well at the hospital.

Up early this morning, wanted to get all my jobs done early because I have my Grandson with me today. Ive just put him down for his afternoon nap so ive escaped to my computer for a time.

Weather is shockingly awful. I'm so glad I did all my laundry yesterday else it would have needed to be tumble dried.

I'm going to sort through hubbys work clothes later, he's beginning to look somewhat shabby and although he works on building sites, I like him to look fairly smart. I have standards for my man even on a building site.:rotfl:

Right, I'm off to do something useful. I want to find out who to vote for in our local elections. A google search will come in handy to find out what policies the candidates stand for.

Dumpling I hope your feeling better today.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

    Afternoon everyone.
Just been putting up my new Ch net curtains in the front room.
I have washed them and had them on the line. They look fab.
Double swish nets with tie backs.
Leaves the important peep hole for Queen bee dog when she lies on the back of the sofa to look out of the window.

I always like to look in this Ch if possible when visiting family as it is close to what I would call millionaires estate. Some times some posh stuff is donated on a whim of changing decor....

I also picked up some fully lined cotton curtains in pink with pink flowers. Matching single duvet, pillowcase and frilly sheet.
The curtains are going at the top of my stairs for a while and the duvet is going to be cut up for chair covers and table cloth I think! for my computer area at the top of stairs. A project with sewing machine.

Oh and I had a lovely day visiting family.I walked the dog several times up and down the road with the houses worth millions.
I don't think I would want one. They must have a small army of staff with gardeners, housekeepers and nannies just for the upkeep.

Sad to read of members with illness this morning.
I always say we all live a bumpy road. Full of ups and downs.
Everyone is on this road and we have to do our best.

I have to do some surveys and we think our son may come and visit.

    Best wishes all.

    Mornin' peeps

Yesterday was not a good day at all - my sister had that 'early morning phone call' from the hospital yesterday morning and from then on everything became a blur and the whole day went downhill .................. Mum passed in her sleep of a Cardiac Arrest. For some strange reason, on Saturday she was talking - with one of my sisters and my brother - about Tom Jones and 'The Green Green Grass of Home' ............... so we've decided that's GOT to be one of the songs for her funeral :)

So so sorry to read that Lily :(

Sorry to hear about your mum Lilyplonk . That was a bit unexpected. Big hugs from me.

Mrs LW my sister's labrador was the same on Saturday. I reminded my sister that the vet said rice and chicken to eat when our old lab was like that, and it seems to have worked. Two of those meals and Cookie the monster has been fine since.
