Tin of french onion soup

I bought 2 tins of this.. must have been on special... I had one tin and it was ok, but not something im looking forward to again... may be there a while... was thinking it may be a welcome addition to a stew or something...
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas... i'm not the best of cooks and am trying not to waste anything on my tight budget....

    Add a glass or two of sherry and reduce it a little them bung in some sausages, diced carrots and peas or butter beans and you have a sausage casserole. :cool:

    Add a bit of stock, thicken it, and call it gravy.

  • Pour it over a seared joint of beef or chunks of braising steak in your slow cooker with potatoes, onions carrots and anything else you care to add, makes a good gravy!
