I'm not going to claim on my insurance as there's only a bit of minor damage to the back bumper and it's not worth losing y no claims/paying excess over, but I intend to replace the children's car seats to be on the safe side.
If the accident was the other driver's fault then you would be claiming off their insurance so you wouldn't pay any excess or lose your no claims bonus. You would technically claim through your insurers but they would recoup all costs from the other driver. It would be them that would lose any ncb. Do you have their details?
And yes, I do just mean your children's car seatsthey are costly things, especially if you have two to replace.

Back in 2001 my cousin died of cancer, followed two weeks later by my best friend's dad, followed two weeks later by my mum.0 -

Thanks - the GP gave me some exercises to do then I've got to go for a review the week after next. I can't really hold my baby on my right hand side and my neck's still stiff so it's getting annoying. I hope your injury heals soon, I feel for you xIf the accident was the other driver's fault then you would be claiming off their insurance so you wouldn't pay any excess or lose your no claims bonus. I didn't get her details as she was handcuffed and put in a police car, but an officer wrote down her reg for me so the insurance traced her.
It turned out that the exhaust needed replacing as the crash damaged it so the insurance said that as the cost of the repairs was lower than my excess they could recoup it under my legal protection, but if the cost had been higher I would have lost my NCB by claiming. I'm just glad my NCB is intact really as I was worried about that!fufu_banterwaite wrote: »Back in 2001 my cousin died of cancer, followed two weeks later by my best friend's dad, followed two weeks later by my mum.
