Received my refund letter today (dated 5th October) for a closed HSBC loan from April 2011. My loan was for £7500 and I am being refunded £555 on 12th October. I first messaged HSBC from online banking in January and subsequently I have been monitoring this thread and am very happy to have a refund :-)

Got my letter today- dated Oct 5th - I am getting a refund of £1060, which I think I will use to pay off part of my current HSBC loan.

Hi all, I was just wondering who was entitled to the refund. I have friends that took out the same loan, for same price, online, with HSBC within a couple of month of myself (June 2012). They have received a refund but I haven't. I don't have the paperwork as it was sent to wrong address. HSBC have been informed and this was sorted. However I have just rang them again and they were exceptionally vague and told me to check myself, using paperwork I don't actually have! Any suggestions?
