Tesco Price Promise

It says that Tesco will refund the difference of a product u have bought elsewhere if it is cheaper than Tesco.. Does anyone knows exactly how this work?
Do I need to buy that product at both shops?
Or do I just buy the product at the other shop and go into tescos for a refund of the difference?

It's just another of their hollow promise promotions, if you purchase elsewhere and produce your receipt showing a lower price than they are currently charging they will refund the difference to you, this is to encourage you to shop with them and not find cheaper prices elsewhere as it implies they are so confident they are the cheapest they are prepared to make a loss when they aren't. It's all bollix.

Silly me !1
I forgot to take the leaflet with me today to Tesco so when I queried the Price Promise she said it was years ago they did this...but not anymore...
So I will be going in 2morrow with my leaflet and proof in small print....
Muller Yoguhurts are 58p each or 4 for £1 at morrisons, but Tesco is 4 for £2.
Nescafe Gold blend ..buy 2 for £6 at Tesco but BOGOF at morrisons...
Kelloggs Friut and fibre is £1 at Asda but £1.98 at Tesco...

On leaflet it says to take in receipt from other shop for refund...so dunno how they are doing this!!!
I tell u tomorrow!!!

Can u remember where u got the leaflet from, Forgetful, are they in store? I don't think I have seen it in Tesco and am not sure they do this as a current policy?

Hi yes I got the leaflet through with the local free newspaper..
Its lgot 4 pages to it ...shows u prices of products...etc...and in very small print on back it says about price promise...

these are the exact wording..
but instore they said it didnt exist..so off I go ..tomorrow!!!!!!

Oh yes, I think I have seen these leaflets. Trouble is the ones I saw only had the promise referring to the items on offer in the leaflet (not every Tesco product). Are all the items you have mentioned, on offer in the leaflet? If not I think you won't have much luck I am afraid but I hope I am wrong.

Well tried it ...showed them the leaflet and everything...argued for about 10 mins over the wording and every possibility...
He even said in the end that it was a misprint!!!!!

So didnt get any money back...even had the receipts and all...

Shall be trying another tescos on saturday!!!
