Bank has taken my money but no overdraft

So... Purchased a bag off eBay via PayPal, didn't realise the payment takes around a week to go through when they take the money straight from your bank. Anyways, got the bag the next day, didn't like it so i got a different one instead from Selfridges, I had the money because I took it from my savings, I assumed the money from PayPal went through so I put £200 back into my savings, then the next day both payments went through (for both websites). I checked my bank balance and it said £0.00 which I though was very strange, so I transferred £295 back into it and my balance now is £113? So where has the rest of my money gone? I have no overdraft at all, HSBC didn't even tell me in any way shape or form that I owed them money, personally I think this is unfair and I will ask for a refund. Any ideas / help? I'm 18, and now I have literally no money at all because they took the rest of my savings.

They didn't take your money, you spent it.

Get a statement, it will explain what has happened to your money, or call HSBC to ask.

I haven't spent it, I had £800 in my savings overall and transferred only what I needed to when buying, what's happened is I've accidentally put money back into my savings when it was really used for a purchase, and because of that HSBC has authorised that payment to go through which then means that's I owe them, so now when I get a refund from the bag bought off eBay that still won't make up for the loss because of the money they took.

What loss?...overdraft charges or the loss of interest on your savings account?

You could have other payments which are pending, without seeing your account, no-one can tell you where the rest of your money is, you will need to call HSBC or check your account online.

So you've gone into an unauthorized overdraft because you didnt have funds in your account to make the payment?

Yeah HSBC didn't say I had minus funds but it was them who definitely took it, I'll phone them.

The money I had left over I'm my savings, like I said I put £295 into my main bank account and only £113 is actually in there, the rest is with the bank I presume?

Seems like it, I know it's a silly error on my end when I transferred money back into my savings but HSBC didn't actually say I owed them money, there wasn't any minus sign on my account, no email or phone call at all.

Oh you know what, just ring the bank and talk to one of their advisors who can explain the chronology of things, where the money has gone and how you ended up with charges .

Don't bank with HSBC so don't know how internet banking is set up, but are you sure that it was the "account balance" that was £0.00, and not the "available balance" that was £0.00. Big difference.
