Untill 2 weeks ago I used to have a good word to say for tiscali, until then my service had only been down once in 2 years, admitedly it was hard work getting it back up but it only took 3 calls (like that's not a mikey take, but you get what you pay for). However service has been virtually unusable for the last 2 weeks and their call centres just keep you on hold for the profits, even though (I think) they know they have a problem with their dns servers.0

Mine's been virtually unusable for nearly a month. 8th call last night - surprise surprise they closed the call again claiming it was 'fixed'. It's not - AGAIN. I give up. I'm leaving and putting myself at the mercy of BT.0

People who are happy with their ISP don't complain, simple as that really but you don't want to hear from us0

Fully agree Edinburghlass, I have used nearly all service providers for the internet and at the moment am stuck with V.M, you always try and get it as cheap as poss but there are pitfalls with that, you get what u pay for, you will be banging your head against a brick wall if you go for a cheap and cheerfull one unless you can get some inside info or people like myself can help you on here, I can only comment on virgin, crap service for so lond then a friend of mine has come to the rescue and helped a lot of poepl on here. If its a good service you get then dont change.0 -

Yea! I had a terrible experience with Virgin as well. Just terrible, though I manged to get out of it. Customer Service took forever!
You get what you pay for...always. Trying to find the cheapest service is one thing but always read the fine print.No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
I'm with Tiscali. Can you believe it, after all that !!!!!ing, broadband has suddenly started working again. It must've been the Internet Fairies, as Tiscali have no idea why. How long will it last? Who knows. Perhaps enough time for me to catch up with some sleep after spending endless hours on the phone to them (yes, all my phones are filtered, no, I haven't stuck a herring in the modem...)
It's not that I don't want to hear about good broadband service (I do, give me hope!), I just want to hear about anyone who has had problems fixed effectively and quickly by the company they are with, because so far it seems to be once you have a problem, customer service is awful. And FYI - Tiscali are not the cheapest, so why am I suffering such poor service? And do you think for a SECOND Tiscali will refund me for the month I didn't have broadband, or all the calls I had to make? Thieves!0 -
