Morrisons - for heavens sake what are they doing

Popped into morrisons for a few bits at lunch time today , the store is busy putting a new freezer section in ( even though the store had a 'major' refit last year that closed it for a few days ) so a lot of the stock has been moved around into new places , they have also taken away the ticket machine at the deli counter which had people totally confused as there was no notice to explain .
It was pretty chaotic with all this going on so why in the name of sanity did they have a woman with a loud microphone demonstrating -sorry- flogging overpriced rubbish on a stand which was set up at one of the most awkward , narrowest and busiest aisles in the store.
She was so loud I couldn't think so lord knows how the poor women on the deli counter were managing as she never stopped for breath.
I just don't know what Morrisons are thinking , when I go shopping I want to be able to focus on what I want from the shop - not be deafened by someone with a microphone flogging a device that picks up fluff from your sofa for £30

£30? That don't sound bad at all0

I have never been a fan of Morrisons, I found out of the traditional supermarkets, ASDA to be the cheapest and have the most variety. I always found Morrisons stores to feel outdated and dirty.0

Why do people post like this?
It sounds like you're trying to sound like Victor or Margaret out of one foot in the grave with general style of your post. That just makes it read to me that it's all been exaggerated to just sound like an amusing story.0 -
Agree with Michael I have always found Morrison's to be very outdated and I know it sounds daft but I really dislike the stale slightly off colour schemes. Asda and Tesco are also cheaper and with Tesco you get very good rewards on Clubcard. You can exchange £2.50 of Clubcard tokens for £10 to spend on other things. A supermarket has to update at some time so will inconvenience customers when it happens, but I agree it is frustrating0

I posted like that because I was irritated and I'd had a fairly !!!! morning as my son had injured his knee and we had to drive a 20 mile round trip to pick him up when I had planned to be doing other stuff . I went into morrisons because I was in a hurry and a bit stressed so I wasn't overly impressed with the chaos in store when i was trying to think what I wanted - I do actually refer to my husband as Victor Meldrew as he is a real misery at times and he was waiting with my son in the car which really was adding to my feeling stressed at the time.0 -

I find Money-Saving-Kings post more like what Victor Meldrew would say, just a general moan really, with no real point about anything apart from exercising a chance to wind somebody up with an inappropriate comment.0 -

I agree. If you spend any amount of time here you'll might want to put him on ignore. (I find him good to laugh at.) He's one of these people who thinks being condescending to others it makes him look like a big man. Just look at his comment on the tipping thread. He's trying to give the impression of being worldly wise when all he's doing is showing he doesn't even understand the principles of tipping.0 -

I think you're just trying to look like the big woman! My comment on the tipping thread show's my knowledge of that country. I have spent many weeks over there, you obviously haven't.0 -
