Flybe is a low cost carrier unlike the other airlines you are flying with, hence the need to collect boarding passes on arrival in Germany. If you have a separate booking reference for the flight you could try web check in 36 hours before departure, but I suspect you will have an AA booking reference which the computer will not recognise, hence the need to check in at the transfer airport. I won't ask why you just didn't book the direct, daily American Airlines flight from Manchester to Chicago, I just hope the savings were worth it.0

I wan`t given the option of that flight being available at the time of booking! we have changed flights in the past and never had a problem. I just assumed it would be as we have usually done! Yes the price was good...should have been free though with the amount of hassle.0
