Mine is JAYG granny squares with a wide border of granny stripes. I'm not making another blanket for myself after this. I do fancy doing different stitches for every row though, I might make a bag with greys and silver.

It's been raining on and off since 4pm yesterday. I was in the greenhouse when it started, all the neighbours went inside – I hadn't really noticed the general noise til they all disappearedIt was silent apart from the rain so I stayed where I was and carried on.

I have two big boxes of jiffy bags in the loft and I can't get up there to get them down. The ladder is in the loftMr tru stands on the small stepladder, reaches in and pulls the big ladder down, but he's a foot taller than me so it's easy for him

Okay, so it's almost two hours since I said I'd start the ironing and I've not even plugged the thing in yet! I have however done the washing up, cleared the fridge and bread bin out, taken the rubbish and recycling out (wearing my slippers across the communal car park!), washed the bin, bleached the kitchen grouting, cleaned all the kitchen sides and washed the floors. Anything to get out of doing the ironing!0

Morning all,
Hi Bargainbird, tru donny gal you are all so clever with your crocheting. I have seen a beautiful little pair of shoes for our new granddaughter due in February but I don't know if my crocheting is up to it. I will have a go but I may be asking lots of questions.
Sammy I don't iron, at all, honestly. I did when we were younger but I decided life was too short to spend hours ironing. I try and fold everything really flat off the line or hang on coat hangers. If it comes out of the dryer it's fine anyway and then it gets hung in the wardrobe. Most creases come out anyway and if they don't as a last resort I iron that one item. I never iron bedding. All our beds have throws on anyway so you can't see the creases:D
A clean through this morning and then working on my craft room, office, relaxation room, reading and lounging room:rotfl: I can't wait for it to be finished. It's being done on a very tight budget in other words things from the loft, garage etc but I can't wait:)
Bargainbird end of the month for us and pennies are very tight. I love the sound of the mushy pea curry, do you have the recipe handy?
Well best get on, have a lovely Saturday xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Good morning all ..... just about
Torrential rain overnight and this morning and although the sun is shining at the moment, it's through some very black clouds so don't think it will last for long.
Having a bit of a tidy up and declutter but not sure how long enthusiasm will last. Would like to list a few bits on ebay later too. Budget is looking very tight for this month and a bit of extra money would be a great help.
I don't iron either but DH needs to look smart for work and he quite enjoys it, so he irons all his own shirts and throws my skirts that need it in too. What a star he is :A
Layered pilaff with YS lamb mince for dinner but have just realised we don't have any yoghurt so aforementioned wonderful DH is making a mercy dash for some.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super day.

Damp here today , next door are prepping for a big BBQ , I feel a bit sorry for them as it has forecast more rain , hope it doesn't rain too much .
I've made a start on the cleaning , so far done the kitchen, dining room and living room , DH is going to do the stairs and landing and I'll do the bathroom when everyone's been in .
MIL is coming later , I'm hoping she can manage our stairs still as she recently had a stair lift put in at home and I think she s going to struggle now with ours as they are steep.
Bangers and mash and onion gravy for dinner
Have a good day everyone xx0 -

Woke up in a proper panic this morning as I just realised its only 4 weeks till we get married!!!!! I am a bit over whelmed by it all at the moment OH is brill but its all the little things just before that i,m fretting about, the favours, flowers, table decs etc he,s offerred to help, but being the control freak I am, I know that he will not 'do it right' with his sausage fingers - time for me to do lists and delegate or I will look like frankinsteins bride on the day having run around like a nutter in the morning......

Morning all
Pouring here in the Cotswolds. Looks like my crochet hook, and water colour paints will be in use today, cannot see the point in trailing round getting soaked. And getting Skye soaked too Didn't bring a mega heavy rain coat with us anyway
Shopping Centres do not like dogs, and tbh we don't need anything. DH has got his nose in a book, with Skye at the side of him asleep. I managed to get her out for the necessary in a short break between the rain, doesn't look like much if a chance of a break now though.
So far, I have made myself a cup of coffee, and made and had my breakfast (yoghurt porridge), put DH's out as he was still asleep. Other than the short walk with Skye, and a little crocheting first thing, I have been on my pad, so I think I can take the award for laziest this morning.
((Hugs)), Spoons, Positive Vibes all round. Take care everyone, DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0
