Do you have a garden?
Coffee is supposed to discourage slugs
Does it really? I have a huge slug problem in my bathroom downstairs, there crawling all over the place leaving thier trails and risking stepping on them every time i go to the bathroom. How should i apply it? just spinkle a bit? I think some of them come up through the plug hole...0 -

More likely coming in through an air brick. That's how they made their way into my kitchen at uni - taped cardboard over it and no more slimy trespassers.0 -
No, it didnt cost me anything to try and return it. But it lost the pound shop the rest of my business. If i have no legal right to then fine but if they, being in the business of serving customers have a less of a goodwill policy than a large supermarket then thats thier choice. Ill go somewhere that does. Its no wonder smaller shops are losing business to the big branches.
A pound might not be much to some people here, but its still a pound of hard earned money to me, and i choose to spend it only on something ill use.
I doubt they'll miss your custom, you surely haven't failed to notice, but pound shops are cropping up everywhere, the pound shop business is one of the few successes of the high street.
You took a chance, it was crap, I'm pretty sure nearly everyone who has bought something in a pound shop, has thought well that was crap and thrown it away, after trying a product.
You have no legal rights, the pound shop have done absolutely nothing wrong and in my experience, there are bargains to be had, so you'll be the only loser in the situation.0 -
Should have just bought one jar to try!0

And you'll pay more when you switch to the big supermarket. You pay for customer service and goodwill. The best way to cut prices is to cut frills. If you want someone who will bend over backwards for you, shop at John Lewis. If you want somewhere that will meet your legal rights, shop Poundland.0 -

the quid you lose by chucking the jar is likely cheaper than the costs incurred in avoiding the pound shop completely. Don't be so dramatic bro... simply buy it elsewhere and continue to shop at the pound shop (by the way the employees or management don't care where you go to shop)0
