oh the glory of the spending diary!!!!
I confess to having one, even taking it out with me, but I am
1.Too Lazy
2.Too forgetful
3. OK I have no more
But I literally just forget about it.......... I'm convinced that the £49 does end up going on food, esp when the bf comes down, we end up going out to get something from supermarket that we fancy, and end up spending £8 on one nights meal. Some days he pays, some days I pay....
But I feel a bit mean making him eat everything out of a tin when he comes down

I know what you mean - I am no good at the whole spending diary thing either. I have lost count of the number of times I have started one over the years!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. I feel suitably shamed now.
I've made sure I've got my little book and a pen in my bag for any spending from now on!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hi CAFC Girl - good to see your second diary in progress. I really enjoyed reading the first

A tip I use regarding my Spending Diary and finances in general is set the alarm on my mobile phone for around 7pm ish every day. This is usually when I am home and have had dinner etc and then I should have half an hour or so to spare to fill in my Spending Diary and also balance my account on line etc. The alarm reminds me to do this and I have been quite disciplined about it. I find that doing this daily helps to keep track of things before I forget what I spent and where it came from.
Give it a try :money: If you don't have an alarm on your mobile, any alarm clock would do really0 -
Have you thought about getting your Broadband through Sky? It would be £26 instead of £53 and that includes free evening and weekend callsNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

I hadn't..... but I have no, Thanks Gemmzie...
DebbyCatz, thats a fantastic tip. I think that might definitely work for me, and around about that time I'm in from work too and just about to make a start on my dinner

Hi All.
Haven't updated this as I should have! I do apologise....
Well I have so far made £63 via Ebay, unfortunately though my bonus cheque I got form work £25 was returned unpaid, so I'm trying to get that sorted out. And I'm still waiting for a few things to pay out on Quidco but I'll wait till its at least £50 until I withdraw it.
I've been very religious with my spending diary, and its been honestly and TRUTHFULLY completed since monday (not long I know!).... and so far I'm seeing a strong pattern!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
:T For the spending diary even if you have only managed for 4 days so far - its a start. Ebay sounds as if it is going well too - just think, if you can find a few extra of that every now and then - the debt will be paid off before you know it :jOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

hope you have managed to get the bonus cheque sorted, and that the spending diary is still going strong. At least if you can see a pattern emerging, you can do something about it!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
