They renamed many benefits so I thought DLA didn't exist anymore and was renamed PIP.

    So is he getting DLA?

If so, isn't that why he has to attend a medical?

I called the ATOS and they said its for ESA. They didn't mention anything about DLA.

My dad is registered blind as well due to progressive Retinitis Pigmentosa. What are they gonna consider with a man who is unable to do anything?

I really don't like the way you've worded this. Plenty of blind people do lots and lots of things and live relatively "normal" lives. The things my friend (who's blind) can do and the way she approaches everyday tasks is inspiring.

Your parents should have paperwork from the DWP showing what they are receiving in the way of pensions and benefits. Until you know what they're getting, it will be difficult to sort things out.
