Topups never expire for any PAYG.
It's the sim that can be disconnected if not active for N months in which case you lose both the number and the credit.

    N is typically 6.
'Active' typically means chargeable calls/text or topups.

So if I buy a 10.00 bundle as Asda call it, I can theoretically use it for 6 months providing I make a few calls?

    Thanks

Buying a bundle is not the same as topping up ...bundles tend to only last 30 days.
It's not just about the money

Are there any bundles that do not expire in 30 days?
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

All I want is a payg for emergencies. Asda works well where I am. Does anybody know if they do payg as opposed to bundle. I dont find website too clear.

All networks do pure PAYG. Just top up and don't buy any bundles. As simple as that.

    https://mobile.asda.com/pages/tariffs-prices

See "Our standard tariff" at the bottom.

    Thanks Grumbler,

How do you get the standard tariff. ?

    You top up.
    You don't buy any bundles.
You just make calls and send texts.
As you have not bought any bundle, you get charged at the standard tariff.
When your balance gets close to zero you topup again.

3 runs on the 3 network, not O2.
