Not sure what you mean, of course UKPC are contracted there by somebody or their presence and ticketing would be fraudulent. That doesn't make it 'real' though!imfromyorks wrote: »The manager said it is real. They have contract with UKPC. I'm going to complain to the head office and create a Facebook page about this.
How can I get fined from parking and eating in McDonald's. I didn't leave the place all that time that I parked. I am the customer.
I hope you are taking on board:
- do not pay!
- this is only UKPC
- they don't do court
- they send debt collector letters
- the same letter chains we've ignored for almost a decade
- back in the day before POPLA everyone ignored!
- Debt Recovery Plus letters have been discussed and ignored and laughed at on this forum till the cows come home
- search the forum for 'Recovery' or 'Zenith' (another letter heading of theirs) and READ up on the scam
- did I say, stop taking this seriously and DO NOT PAY?!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi,
Sorry for not coming back for too long.
My case has been closed for quite a while but I had a problem getting back in here.
Just to let you know and I hope this could be useful for everyone.
After I put my thread asking for advice I had gone back to McDonald's and as advised, complained (trying to be loud and firm) to the manager assistant (the manager was on a holiday). He was useless. He told me the letters from UKPC were real and McDonald's has a contract with them. I insisted to see the manager as he kept saying he couldn't do anything for that. He said the manager would say exactly the same thing. So I asked to see the manager of the manager etc etc. The man said I can come back to see the manager when he's back. I left my number for them to get back to me.
I then also asked for the contact to their head office which he said the only place who know about the contract. He said he had no idea I will have to look at their website. He also said the head office will be able to do nothing anyway.
After seeing the useless manager assistant which I believe my teenage son can do his job better. I came back to look for the email to the head office.
I wrote a letter to them stating that I am a freelance journalist who works for a major newspaper (which is true) and I am their regular customer for over 15 years since I moved here. I told them about the letters from UKPC and DRP and I was really disappointed about what's going on.
After about a week, I received an email back from McDonald's. They told me that it is true that they hire UKPC to manage their car park however they take my case as a special case that they will cancel the charge. I still received another threatening letter from DRP so I wrote to McDonald's again and requested UKPC to send me a letter to confirm the cancellation.
My case then closed.
I hope this helps. Thanks again for all of the advice.
P.S. Since then I never received any contact from McDonald's manager. :mad:0 -
Well done on finally getting this scam ticket cancelled. I would still write to the CEO of muckdonalds and tell them you are now an ex-customer. Better food and much better customer service is available elsewhere.
Tell all your friends and family about the private parking scam as well and make sure they come here for advice, preferably before they get a ticket.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Well done! This just shows what a useless two bit operation the management of McDonalds run!0
