please start your own thread using the blue NEW THREAD button on the top left of the main parking forum, next to the green abnner (you have hijacked another members thread, which is considered bad etiquette, its one topic one thread , one member on here)

    thanks

Ok I will do. Please don't get mad of me. I was a bit confused. I'm going to talk to McDonald's manager with all the letters I have and come back to let you know.
    Thank you.
P.S. Please forgive me. I don't know who's the regular users here.

Btw I read old threads from google. I didn't come straight to browse in here. I'm new to the forum and only knew about this place from google.
Also, I believe it was CCTV or kind of camera because they sent me the pictures of my car at the time I arrived and left McDonald's and it was quite correct.

It's a camera which automatically takes still photos of your number plate as you arrive and leave, not CCTV.

You haven't been "caught", you were a genuine customer for goodness sake, which is why the manager should get it cancelled. Go at a busy time and be firm and loud (but not shouty) in front of other customers. Even if the manager refuses to help you'll have educated some others about the racket.

  • Hi, I've been to McDonald's. I was firm and loud. He said he couldn't do anything. It's out of his authority. He insisted I had to contact DRP. He couldn't help. Nobody at McDonald's could help.

so contact mickey dees head office and complain to them about it and the local manager
  • What Redx said.

Plus stop worrying, ignoring has worked just fine for every single UKPC ticket ever issued, they haven't attempted court yet and are unlikely to do so before the outcome of the Beavis appeal. The chances of them taking you to court are infintessimally low.

  • Thank you
The manager told if I want to complain it is not to him but the head office. How useless.

UKPC don't do court, so no worries.

And McDonalds don't normally use UKPC (they use MET) so are you sure the PPC isn't actually contracted by the landowner/managing agent of the whole site? Or is it only a McD's?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • The manager said it is real. They have contract with UKPC. I'm going to complain to the head office and create a Facebook page about this.
How can I get fined from parking and eating in McDonald's. I didn't leave the place all that time that I parked. I am the customer.

you cannot get "fined" for eating in any establishment, as only a court or a judge can "fine" you and its just not possible

your error was in ignoring the letters from UKPC in the first place, should have come here for help when the first one arrived and this would be over now, at nil cost to you

UKPC have a well known sc*m which the daily mail recently reported on where they do a so called "survey" to see if the vehicle drivers are in the shop and they ticket any that dont answer yes (but we dont think they do this survey at all, or properly)

its just to maximise their income by sending out INVOICES to people like you

the trick here is to learn the game and then beat them at their own games and complain, loudly

mickey dees are aware of this sc*m , especially since the daily mail article 2 weeks ago brought it to national attention , hence why we tell you to complain , LOUDLY , to head office or their CEO

The local manager could have helped but clearly hasnt done , so report that manager to head office in your complaint

and did I mention that you did not receive a FINE ?

so please dont use the F WORD again , thanks

    GOOD LUCK
