BT Sports Contract

I have just left BT after years of being with them and last year I joined BT Sports as it was free with my broadband and I am unable top state the exact date I took out this but it does show on my bill dated 11July . BT are now charging me for Bt Sports up to 1 August this year after I left them on 29 June which I accept there could be a few days which I owe for this service also the switched off BT Sports from this date but are still charging for it there own terms state that "Your agreement with us starts on the date we accept your order for the service" so why am I being charged for a service I do not have or should be charged for and they are not replying to my emails!

When you signed up for BTSport you extended your minimum broadband term for 12 months, when you ended your contract you usually have to give notice , 1 month ?, if you signed in July 2013 then the 12 months are up in June, but if you cancelled on this date the notice period is still due, if you wanted to cancel the moment the minimum 12 month term expired, you needed to give notice to quit after 11 months not 12
  • Hello I have just been told by somebody from the CEO office that BT Sports is on a 30 day rolling contract and I did cancel my other contracts within the allotted time 14 days as it was done by my new provider and they have agreed to a full refund of all those charges ,so well done to BT even if it took a letter to the CEO

The lesson here is never to rely on a incoming provider who says 'we will do it all for you'. Invariably they don't.
