Hi,
I've got an iPhone 5S locked to O2 and i'm using a GiffGaff sim card with the 12 pounds plan (250 min/unlimited text and data) the thing is that I hate the data i use Spotify and Skype a lot in my iPhone everyday when i'm in the Train and in the Bus and most of the time i lost 3G signal or i've got signal but is too slow to use it with internet and when i lost 3g signal i need to wait to get it again so is just wasting my time and is a disaster. I've been with Sainsbury's (Vodafone) and i left it for the same reason because the coverage it was very poor in Birmingham and Coventry (i'm not going to talk about the train...) but at least the Customer Services it was very helpful, understandable and good.
I've been with Three network and the signal it was a bit better than O2 and Vodafone but i left it because the make a mistake with one of my bills and the customer service is crap.
Any recommendations about omnv or other networks?
I need a min of 250 min / 1000 min / 4GB data.
Thanks,
Javi.

Firstly if you want to use a non o2 based network you will need to get the phone unlocked.
apart from GG and three if you want that much data you will need to pay for it.
I think virgin do an unlimited but 3gb fair use policy sim for about £15 a month.
However no one can advise what network qould be the best as it will vary from area to area.0 -
I'm going to unlock my phone soon, but what i mean in terms of best network its just basically about traffic management, signal and customer service.
I know that T-Mobile they do traffic shaping for Skype so that is a thing that i can't take.0 -
Well if coverage is a problem and you've tried Giff Gaff, Vodafone and Three that only leaves the EE network to try although it may be very similar to Three's 3G coverage as they share sites, so Orange, Tmobile, EE, Virgin and any other MVNO that uses EE's network might be worth a try.
However if you're looking for a network that has good service, great coverage and speeds then I think you'll be looking forever. Basically all networks have coverage issues, often have poor customer service and low/poor data....and all have thousands of very unhappy customers as you'll find on forums, Facebook etc.
There are some happy customers but they generally keep quiet

Three is the best network for data, and they are now rated the best network for customer service/complaints. They've really turned around in the past few years.
They do some good SIM only deals with 4GB data or unlimited data from £15pm. They have a 14 day return policy as well so you can return it if you don't like the service. But honestly speaking, if you're streaming and using data a lot then Three really is the best in most locations.
They do 600 Mins, Unl Text & Data for £18pm with free 0800 calls, 4GB tethering, free roaming in 16 countries abroad and you can cap your account.0 -

This deal doesn't exist anymore. It's 2GB of data for £15. This is the maximum amount of data Virgin give new customers. You can't get unlimited data from Virgin anymore unless you're an existing customer.0 -

I would second that idea. I use my Three phone (also an iPhone 5s) in the car as an internet radio streaming to my car radio and travel quite extensively in the North of England daily.
It's quite uncommon that I lose signal or suffer degraded signal or buffering.====0 -
What i can see is that Three is going to be my better option, giffgaff is not just when i've got good 3G i can't play videos on YouTube or listen music on Spotify because my network speed is not more that 1,3MB and the upload is rubbish.
Anyone in EE?0 -
