    PROGRESS UPDATE (or lack of):
    Charge #1: Deceitful
    No response from nPower.

    Charge #2: Arrogant
    Again no response from nPower.

    Charge #3: Vindictive
NPower have sent the key in the post.

Today, I got worried call from my tenant. He's saying nPower have send him £520 and £600 bill. He's VERY worried and agitated.

I told him don't worry there must be a mistake. TBH his English isn't too good so I thought he has read it wrong.

    nPower have sent the following:

    1. Your amended energy bill:
    23 June 2014 - 23 July 2014
    £517.92

    2. Your final energy bill:
    24 July 2014 - 28 July 2014
    £599.14

WOW for four days we used £600 of energy. That's £150 of energy a day!!!

I know from nPower previous email that as I, the Landlord is dealing with the issues they will not register a complaint.

I'm not interested in complaints. I want the bills nulled.

If someone can find me a brave enough politician who will nationalise our energy / utility companies let me know as he/she is getting my vote.

    nPower over-paid, under-worked, sickeningly profitable.

In absolute terms the first bill seems very large too. Have you seen the actual bills? If so do they make sense e.g. are there any adjustments and if so are they clearly explained? If not then I suggest you demand such an explanation and if you don't get it then complain.

I thought you were going to take the npower rep up on their offer to sort it out. Did you change your mind?

I did. The only thing nPower did was send the key in the post.

These are new tenants and it is their first bill. We changed the electric meter to prepayment.

When I read the bill I sent an employee over and checked the house, porch, conservatory, garage, driveway and outbuildings. This house doesn't have a swimming pool.

TBH I thought they may be growing cannabis, alas not in my house. That's the only way you get £150 bill per day.

There have been cases of tenants growing cannabis in rented properties.
