Sky service not working with SOME new Panasonic phones.

I have just last week purchased a highly rated set of 3 Panasonic phones.
A KX-TG 8061/2/3 (Same phone)
Quite pleased with everything about them until today.
The problem is that when someone calls you on your nice new phone, if you have caller display enabled, you can see who is ringing before picking up. With these phones there is an extra feature that enables you to block callers that you dont wish to hear from provided caller display is enabled.
UNLESS, that is, you have the latest Panasonic Phones and Sky as your provider! I recently signed up for a 12 Mth contract with Sky Broadband and Sky talk.
Sky have had this issue for a few years apparently because of the different set-up to most providers, but they dont advertise that fact and they also dont have a list of incompatible phones available (They do know them as an engineer of theirs reeled off a list to me). They also wont reduce the cost of my package as a consequence. (I didn't ask but I was told not to bother asking).
It took conversations with FOUR customer service operators before getting through to a lovely young scottish lass who actually listened and took me seriously before putting me through to an actual engineer. 3 hours wasted this morning dealing with Sky idiots till then.
Sky apparently are 'Working' on this issue in collaboration with Panasonic but they cannot say how long a resolve wil take but I am assured that it will happen - one day.
This needs to be spread around the net to make everyone aware of this problem.

Care to share what exactly?
I presume the OP is referring to LLU lines where the dial tone and service is provided by Sky's own exchange equipment, as opposed to most other (but not all) providers who would be using BT Wholesale's equipment.
I guess something on Sky's equipment is incompatible.0 -
I used to have an HP OfficeJet XL.
Everything worked fine on a BT phone line, but the FAX function wouldn't work if I plugged it into a Virgin phone line, which I thought of as the FAX LINE, since people call me on the BT number. After some to-ing and fro-ing, it turns out the BT line voltage was around 50V, but Virgin was more like 20V.
HP said it's not a problem with their then current range of printers, so all I had to was to buy a new OfficeJet!0
