Times are changing? My POPLA appeal against JLA charge by VCS

And should they take this to court there would be many experts on this and PePiPoo forum wanting the chance to help and get this 'relevant land' 'byelaws' and 'stopping' (as opposed to parking) stuff finally nailed at JLA.
You can confidently ignore any threatograms that land on your doormat. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

POPLA's decision is binding on them not you. We have seen one of these go to court after losing at POPLA slightly different as the car cut out and then restarted, but VCS lost. I would imagine they would be very hard pushed to win any of these JLA tickets.0

You are in an ideal position to do the PPC some damage. You have lost a Popla appeal and they may think that you are ripe for the plucking.
If they were unwise enough to take you to court as the RK, and you were not the driver, they will lose on the "relevant land issue". They will probably also lose on the stopping is not parking issue, genuine losses issue, status issue, valid contract, and inadequate signage issues, . They have a mountain to climb, you have a gentle downhill stroll.
Mind you, you will have to be up for it and understand the issues involved, but there are dozens on people on here who would be only too glad to help you. It is time these scammers were brought down. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
I very much doubt VCS would attempt court over a JLA ticket. They are well aware that the airport is covered by Byelaws and that means they do not have any authority to issue tickets.
If that came out in front of a judge they could be in very hot water indeed
For the sake of completeness here are the Byelaws.

Thanks folks. And top marks for Waamo... makes for some interesting reading!0

Thanks for that. But can you please spell out why VCS do not have the authority to issue tickets? I can understand why they may not seek RK liability under POFA, but don't quite know why they have no authority to pursue the driver.
Thanks. It will help a shedload of people if you are correct.0 -
So... it didn't go away quietly! Came home today to find your standard issue threatening letter from Rossendales Collect 'Professional' Debt Collectors.
Have already started reading a lot of the advice on here, and hope i'll have better luck at this stage than I did with POPLA!
Somehow they seem to have got my wife's phone number as well and have been hounding her with phonecalls. The gloves are off!0 -
post #4 of the newbies sticky thread covers it , read post #12 again of this thread too0

Yes, read through the sticky. Just completed my response email to Rossendales, it is a masterpiece, if I do say so myself!
It's ridiculous reading all these threads where the Debt Collectors are trying to chase people up from years earlier. I'm very grateful for sites like this, as obviously the first reaction is usually panic!0 -
What are you hoping for in emailing Rossendales? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
