Personally I wouldn't go with the nokia 100. I bought it from tesco for use with work, I only really receive calls and sent text messages. The only problem is the phone very rarely receives messages! I just get a repeat of an old message! And no the phone hasn't reached memory capacity, I can have as little as five texts stored and I still can't receive!
If I were you I'd go for something a little more expensive but a lot more reliable!0 -
The OP has already gone with Samsung E1200
And more expensive doesn't necessarily mean more reliable.0 -

This could equally be a SIM or network issue.
Old pre-Android Nokias are technically obsolete, but the one thing they could always do OK was send and receive calls and texts. Not much else to go wrong. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Do you mean pre-Windows (or pre-Simbian)?
Also, Nokia 100 isn't old as it was released at the end of 2011.0 -
No, the phone model isn't that old, but I believe it's known as a Series 30 handset, and that technology goes back as far as 2002?
But should be perfectly OK to do the basics as long as it isn't faulty. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
