This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Morning TTFTN and all who cross/follow.
I'm here again. This allergy has gone onto my eyelids as well now, so think it may be time to seek more help. No walking centre about, so may need to try Banbury A&E, but ask if they can suggest anywhere better for me to go.
((Hugs)), spoons, etc., all round. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Good morning everyone
DG - if the allergic reaction goes near your eyes or particularly causes your throat to swell, you really should seek medical attention as soon as possible. Please go and get this sorted x
Bit cooler last night and managed a better sleep but am still tired. Usual dash from me so will try and pop back later.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a lovely day.

Morning all,
I was up very early this morning, just couldn't sleep.
Bed has been stripped now Himself is up, and linen in the WM.
Weather overcast at the moment but promises to be brighter later.
Popping into town this morning, need to go to the Bank and have a look around. We don't seem to go into town much these days. Can't be bad because it means I am not spending money:)
Sending gentle hugs to Molly, Hilly, Mrsmorten harket and anyone else who needs one. Life seems to be throwing quite a lot of carp at people at the moment.
Try to have a good day.
Much love

Morning all
Hubby's been dropped at work, he had cooked breakfast, I've not had mine yet.
I've fed the fish & weeded the front garden, I shall water the back in a sec.
On with my jobs list after that & I need to do an online shop, we have people over for drinks & nibbles next week & I need to plan the food, one guest only eats chicken nuggets & mashed potato, but I refuse to serve that as the guests are all over 30 years old.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -

Good morning everyone :hello:
I'm up early this morning to see hubby off to work and get some housework done before it gets too warm. All I managed to do yesterday was cook tea! My lovely niece is down on her holidays staying with one of my sisters so I am hoping they will pop up either today or tomorrow. I haven't seen her for over a year so I'm really looking forward to it.
I have been transferring some money around to help with the costs of the summer holidays. I'm hoping not to spend too much though as I will need to buy shoes for school at the end of August and my girls all have enormous feet so the poor things get very little choice. I think I have their uniform sorted already apart from coats.
I'm worried as I had some blood tests done recently and I received a letter asking me to make a telephone appointment with my doctor to discuss the results. It has kicked off my anxiety so I am thinking calming thoughts. Anyway, he's ringing tomorrow so I will know then what it is all about.
That's all my waffling for now, hope everyone manages to have a great day. Take care xx0 -
Morning everyone
Birthday wishes to those celebrating a birthday, hope you have a great day x
Hugs and get well wishes to those that want/need them.
Dull and overcast , but still forecast to be hot. Watered plants and greenhouse.
DH up and gone to work stupid early.
Dinner last night was fish, chips/jacket potato, beans/veg – all eaten and enjoyed. Remembered to get the chicken out to defrost overnight, so we’ll be having chicken in a white wine and cream sauce, with mash, and veg.
Work yesterday was steady but not horrendous, I was working at the other office, today I’m only working until lunchtime, then I have all my normal chores to do. I’ve kept up to date with the washing and drying as it’s been fab drying on the line weather and we’re going away on Friday morning – so effectively “loose” a day on Friday – not too bothered though as I’m so ready for a break – can’t wait until next week when my hols are here, I finish next Weds lunchtime and don’t go back until Tues after the bank holiday – can’t come soon enough!
I’ll do all the normal chores when I get in from work at lunchtime, I’ll also need to do a menu plan for next week as I need to write a shopping list for tomorrow.
Take care in the sun and warm weather, remember the sunscreen x
Keep safe and well x

Morning :hello:
Lilyplonk I'd normally take the yarn back, but I only bought it to practice with. If it was part of a big project I'd have been straight back on the bus. I'll let the stall owner know next time I'm in town.
DG Is it sore? Hope you can get it sorted ASAP xx
I'm posting off some crochet this morning, it's for a yarnbomb. I almost changed my mind – the items look OK to me but when I compare them to pictures of other people's brilliant donations, they don't look so good :undecided Never mind, they can always be put at the back
I'm working on two orders today :T Well, one order, two items
We've got a few ripe tomatoes :T I'll check the greenhouses for more in a mo. Apart from that, just the usual housework today.
