Karlie, do you know anything about switching to other banks?

If I wanted to switch again, and have to have money going through the account and DD/SO's, can you just deposit cash then transfer it straight back out? do you have to have the DD/SO's already set up on the old account.. and can this just be a small amount to one of your other accounts? or does it have to be a bill payment?

You can transfer the money in and out; it only has to be in the account for a split second. I cycle the same £1500 across all current accounts.

With regards to DDs/SOs...it depends on which bank you want to switch to. They all have different T&Cs I'm afraid. Which bank are you thinking?

Are they a better buy on counter than pre packed?

Hi everyone I am back - I don't suppose anyone noticed I was really AWOL as we had such good internet access :D

I am more or less up to date - if I get 5 proper mins to myself later/tommorow I will tell you what I've been up to and how very MSE we have been :)

We have come back to a garden full of concrete fence boards, panels and setting stuff so I just have to grit my teeth until Sunday when the new fence goes up and it seems to have rained for 3 days so weeks have sprouted in all directions.
