The flowers just confirm that there are potatoes under there...you need to wait for the flowers and the foliage to die back....mine have got flowers on them too and I'm itching to get them up but dont want the other allotment guys to think I dont know what I'm doing :o :rotfl:

hi emerald totally agree with what qoc said we only dug one lot of ours up as had blight  have quite a large area left which are flowering but we will leave until the potatoes bulk up a bit, if you are really impatient and desperate for new potatoes either pull a plant and see whats their or firth a few potatoes from a plant without digging it up. i always do this to my first plants as to impatient to wait :o:o:o

Nope, not left the house, decided to make jam instead :D
My first batch of strawberry from lunchtime seems to be a bit too thin :o
Am having a go at raspberry now, I'm sure someone said I need to send it through a muslin to get the seeds out (got my mum and baby pack one at the ready :D
I do love Morries fruit and veg :D

some of mine was a bit runny i blamed the strawberries:o:o:o
if making jam not jelly i put my raspberries through a fine sieve its easier to get the pulp through, using a spoon, with the juice and all you are left with is the pips so less waste , made some today i dont mind the seeds but oh and boys hate them..

Quite by coincidence (synchronicity?) this photo appeared on a pop-up on Facebook.

I hope this photo link works - it's especially for tweets and all the other lovely posters who have challenging relatives!
