  • For anyone in the north of the SW...

There are Impulse sets in Cheltenh@m, with the JF elixir...

There are also Impulse sets in L0ngwell Green but only one JF elixir yesterday.

They were also selling off 4 x A sensitive washing capsules for 25p each - work out at 6p a wash. These were in a reduced section at the till end of one aisle about half way along.

They were also selling off Starbucks espresso coffee beans for £1.06 each

I found this very interesting and heartening, I'm probably going to be ridiculed for this but hey ho .......
(not in every situation, but in some) is there this female, female rivalry going on ......I have a closer bond with my boys but like my mum, not so close to my daughters.
My mum took it to the extreme by telling me umpteen times that I nevere "needed" her, even as a two year old but my idol was my dad and still is............a bit Freudian I know but just a thought.
I had terrible trouble with MIL as she had always been the only female and didn't like me as I was a threat to that....all food for thought.

    I'm doing learning. :)

For the first time one of my boys has invited a girlfriend here for the weekend shortly.

    Any advice gratefully received.

I'm even more convinced that our mothers are related tweets. I spent the first 50 years of my life doing what I could to try and please my mother but failing miserably. Sometimes she'd be sweet as pie and I'd be overjoyed, thinking I'd finally worked out how to get her to love me but then she'd turn around and make another barbed comment and I'd be devastated all over again. She's always blown hot and cold so I'd never known what would set her off from one day he next.
For all those years I longed for my mother to love me unconditionally and unreservedly, the way all mothers are supposed to (at least in story books). I felt an awful sense of guilt and shame about not being loved by my mother, after all everyone thinks all mothers love their children so persisted in believing it was something wrong with me that made me unloveable.
It wasn't until I studied children's literature and learned that the reason why books are full of wicked stepmother is because it is too dangerous and painful for a child to contemplate their own mother hurting them - after all, at a primitive level, as a vulnerable, dependent child if your mother rejects you then you die. Once I accepted that it was NOT my fault, that actually my mother is incapable of loving ANYONE in the way I wanted (and needed as a child) it became a lot easier.
I no longer seek my mother's approval for anything and only see her a couple of times a year out of duty. She is a miserable, bitter and twisted old lady now and I pity her but I refuse to let her horrible comments get to me anymore.

Nenen, it takes great strength to reflect on ones childhood and make changes to your life which enables you to take control and stop the cycle repeating itself x

You deserve a very very very big :grouphug:

so I guess I can't change it for my pages them?

    Thanks anyway x

Sorry, I don't know. I think someone posted a link to the old version as a download on the old thread which with some jiggery-pokery you could install. Will try and find later if no one else does.
