Afternoon everybody - everyone seems to be having a curates egg weekend - only good in parts.

I think we are having one of those momentous weekends - just waiting to see how it rolls out today and over tomorrow.

In the meantime to keep us occupied and not moping about I got OH to empty his wardrobe this morning, sort through everything - he even tried everything on :T then all the good shirts that fitted for work and the holiday/posh do shirts were hung back in order in his wardrobe and he even sorted out his jeans and trousers. So now for the first time ever its pristine and ordered and a workable wArdrobe :)

Then we took 6 huge bags to the oxfam clothes bank (a few really good things we will take into the shop next week) along with this weeks recycling.

We came home, oh mowed the lawn and even went up on the flat roof to patch some bits that he said looked dodgy.

Then he was about to go out, got down the road and came back - flat tyre

How much karma balancing do you have to do for goodness sake

So I rung all 6 of the local places who sell tyres, no one had his tyre in stock and none could get one before Monday or Tuesday as it was now 4 on Saturday afternoon. Finally I found a quick fit that had one left in stock so OHs did some swearing and cussing to get the fiat off which was welded in place to put the spare on and off he went with the credit card and kwik fit closing in 45 mins.

So that's another hundred quid we didn't expect to spend this month

After sorting the tyre then going to a mates to collect a TV for another hundred

So these 2 come to more money than the magical mystery midweek tour I am planning

Always one step forward and three steps back

You can download the app for free on Itunes. It's really self explanatory to use.

The app isn't working for APGs anymore :( (unless you have an outdated version) it sends you to the website. There is a fix that Anon. posted a thread or 2 ago but I'm afraid it was too complicated for me to tackle :o
I do wish they'd fix it!

We had a 'quite good' day today. Total spend about minus £2.20:D. We spent five pence on two shops in M. The second shop should have been exact £5, rather than £5.04, we got a 49p:( broccoli that took the bill to £5.04 - :doh:should have put a packet of radish, at 45p, as the final item then it would have been £5.00. We'd bought a packet of radish on the first shop though, although that's no excuse! Perhaps not thinking as much as I should have been:(.

I popped into Mr A on the again direct route back. Sometimes - I've said this before - I don't know really why have to get shops that get APGs back - this time it was just a spend of an exact-amount APG on - yes - some BM Turkey Dinosaur Rolls. Total spend 0p (APG was wombled). Obviously it did not give back any APG as just that one item. Then picked up on a womble on the way out and it's given over a couple of quid - hence the -£2.20 amount. Though I suppose maybe that should be less the APG I spent on the Turkey Rolls. Still a minus amount though, after the 5p spend in M:rotfl:.

Someone was buying over £5 worth of fresh fruit and veg. in A5da!:eek: Whole section of a trolley of the gent going past me in the opposite direction when in Mr A was full of fruit and veg.

:rotfl:It looks like I've picked up his receipt too. This one has a whole list of items at the bottom of the receipt - probably seventeen or eighteen separate fruit/veg. items. It's a receipt of over £100 spend:eek:. Many of the other items on it have been glitch or previous glitch items. Pork Chops anyone? Also wine (that would have been paid for far less on glitch), Oxo cubes (packs that should have been 13p each:rotfl:), shower gels (that would have been free:D), deodorants (should be free again:rotfl:).

(Actually it's pretty unlikely this is the receipt of the gent I saw. I think I picked it up on the way into the store, before I saw him, once in there, doing his shopping.)

Then...an unexpected good afternoon. Very good weather - I thought it was supposed to be raining today and wish the weatherpeople would get things right in advance. So we went somewhere unplanned (one of the local parks) and had a nice, sunny afternoon stroll around:T:T.

I can't resist it now - I've just got to get a calculator() out and total up the amount spent on those nearly 20 separate items of fruit and veg. at the end of the receipt. Cauliflower, Leeks, Apples (£2 ones:eek:), Lettuce, Carrots, Broccoli, Tomatoes, you name it. Total is £17.76:eek:_pale_. All at full A prices.

So, £17.76 on fruit and veg. and another £85 approximately on items that would probably cost me in total less than a tenner. Over £100 spent!

I'll check the receipt now - watch it be >10% cheaper!:rotfl::rotfl:

I had not actually planned anything definite as such bubbs, I didn't really get mine and DD3s application sent in early enough with all the back log but had fingers crossed they might be back around the 6 week mark. That would have just given us chance to book something last minute.

I have phoned but they have to get someone else to phone me in next couple of days. I have just gone back through the notes you get and think it may be because I went back to my maiden name after my first marriage actually before I got my decree absolute, no kids and all that just wanted to start again.

Have been a bit tearful as getting copy of certificate is digging up a not nice past for me. :(

I have ordered it anyway as don't want to hold things up anymore than they have now been.

Has made me feel all funny, me and Mr TS have posh hotel booked tomorrow to celebrate our 25th, and now past has been raked up for me. I found it hard enough to get the decree absolute out of the box it was hidden in. :o

(((hugs))). I feel for you sweetheart, I've been through that and all the old bad stuff comes back :(.

but come on, look at what you have got, things couldn't be better, could they. All that crap is a life time away. Get out those glad rags and get to the posh hotel. Enjoy it, forget what was and snuggle into the present :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
