A won't care if you use an apg in T unless you foolishly spend way more than the value of the apg in cash whilst in there. Cash you could have spent in A
For everyone that walks in, pays for something with an apg and walks out it will hurt Ts profits (not much but its a definite loss). I don't think As will mind that
Can you imagine if A started accepting CC vouchers in response!?!
that would be nice!0 -
A couple of freezer related questions! Does anyone know if you can freeze the Gü After Dark Chocolate & Vanilla ?
Same question for the My Kipling slices that we've been getting!

I might be totally missing what's going on with this Tesco deal:o
Surely people are not using an APG in A and then reusing it in T:eek:

I'm the same, but I have no idea what is on the card as I rarely shop in Sainsbugs… I never used to shop in A*da but now I rarely go anywhere else, I think their apg has made us all change our shopping habits (and the shops we shop at):D:D:D

Nowt wrong with it
T can't reclaim the cost either way and have no right to ask valassis if redeemed in A
I certainly wouldn't print multiples to use in T though
Each to their own devices thoughApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Normally I'd agree with you, but in this case Tesco cannot claim any money back from anyone. An apg is only "legal tender" in Asda, and the rules pertaining to copying, reuse etc are only applicable for use in Asda.
As far as Tesco is concerned you might as well be paying with Monopoly money because the vouchers are worthless to them (and therefore it's not relevant whether you've used them before). It's a marketing ploy to subvert Asda shoppers over to Tesco and there will be a budget for the losses occurring during this period.
Personally I can only see this backfiring as soon as the asda shoppers see the prices in T!:rotfl:
I've never thought of it this way! it is just play money to T, its not got a value at all in terms of the paper. There only benefit is to attract the savvy Asda shopper.0 -

You can print them twice. Last time (ages ago when Ts nationwide were theoretically taking them - subject to staff training and HQ being open for the supervisors to contact:D) the staff in one of my Ts, which did take them, were clueless and just took the voucher and didn't mark the receipt.
As I see it, if T wish to accept an otherwise worthless voucher for themselves, which is only valid in A, that's a matter for T. They don't get reimbursed for it through Valassis, it's simply a promotion for T to get you into their store. It's a piece of paper, a money-off voucher for Mr A - if anywhere else wishes to take it in settlement of a debt, then that's up to (more fool in my view) them.
As the voucher hasn't been used in Mr A, it's still valid there, with the original receipt and should then be marked in accordance with A's policy which A staff do. Even if A staff fail to mark the receipt, never ever use another print of the same voucher in A more than once.0
