I've got 20 copies - but now I'm wondering if that's enough:eek:
So, what are people planning to buy?
Any recommendations about what keeps the longest, or how best to store?
I'm very limited on storage space, but have loads of empty jars, so was thinking of making some jams or preserves... Never made either, so might be back for some advice.:)
last time, I did some (disastrous!) marmalade, some pineapple chutney and blueberry jam
Get some white or pickling vinegar and you can do your own pickles
Makes your house stink but its worth it
I also bought a big stick of ginger which i sliced some of it and ground the rest up and mixed it with olive oil to make a paste..i did some with ginger and garlic and added chillies to another one too
Lemons and limes got sliced and frozen ready for vodka antics, chillies got frozen whole ready for chucking into curriesI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Good morning all :j
From one Louise to another.... Good morning!
I am going to stop by T's for some 3V vouchers and some suns, drop dd2 at frozen camp. Come home for half an hour and then take dd1 to a friends house. I then have 3 hours all to myself so I plan on going to A's with no moaning!!0 -

Hellooooo jelly, last time I found the apples, oranges and blueberries kept the best for the longest time, my fridge is set at 2' they last at least 2 weeks... Also the ripen at home nectarines and plums were good,
I bought some green beans and broccoli and froze those and made 4 jars of apricot jam:) I've still got a leek left in the fridge and that's still looking good:)
Nearly forgot vacuum pks of beetroot Best before date November..

Can anyone tell me please? With this sun £5 Morrisons coupon - can I buy pre-packed fruit and veg? Or is it just the loose stuff? Thanks.0

Morning all.
Writing this from bed. I'm not feeling better but I still shuffled down to Sainboobies to buy three papers. That's our fruit for the week sorted.
Nanny how you feeling today?
FC I was thinking about your passion fruit question. If it was me I'd attempt something like passion fruit vodka? Or something else of a boozy nature. Passion fruit is a great flavour for cocktails
Jelly- I'm with QOC. Do a chutney. Maybe a spicy tomato, mango....I find it so much easier than jam personally. The only thing you have to contend with for a bit is the vinegar smell taking over your house!Debt free 6th December 2014

Thanks for all the posts on the morries f & v moc - limited shopping opps here, but this one is worth travelling a few miles for, so will hit Bodmin at some point in the next couple of days
Tresemme 900ml moisture rich shampoo currently a visible trigger in the A 3 for £10 haircare offer. Hope it sticks as compares to £2.49 at T and 2 for £5 S, with lots of other good comparisons .....
Nanny, please wish Nikki a very happy birthday from me. Think of her often, would be lovely if she could pop in and say hello xx
And a very happy birthday to all the Leo contingent - there are lots of you
Hope you all have a good summer
