On the last thread someone was talking about best car/insurance deals for 17 year olds. I'm just wondering if anyone found any info on the most economical car to insure etc. think someone mentioned buying new with insurance rolled in which sounded good and quite mse given the insurance prices . By the way...did anyone else know that John Lewis are stopping their free tea and cake offer? Apologies if already mentioned but I haven't been perusing this thread for a couple of weeks.
It was good while it lasted.
I spoke to them yesterday Karlie and they said vouchers should be with everyone by the 11th ? That its been a great success and they happy to continue.
So seems like we might but we will see ?

That would not be the case I'm afraid.
A lot of the 'free insurance' offers with a new car have a minimum age for the buyer/driver; at least 21 years of age...if not 25 years of age.
I remember there was an offer about 10 years where you could buy a new Citroen Saxo with 1 year's free insurance...a lot of my friends purchased that car and it was a very good deal at the time because insurance for an 18 year old was a few thousand pounds.
See here for the offer: https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-reviews/15228/citroen-saxo-forte
So 18 year olds were driving around with brand new Citroen Saxos!
