At redspottedhanky.com we're always striving to give you the best value for your money when it comes to buying train tickets. When you search for your tickets on our site we'll check all the availability within the information you gave us and display to you all the available fares. As you can imagine there are some restrictions around our Price Promise and we need to ensure we are protected against the odd person who may try to exploit our price promise.

That price promise looks like hard work
" You must email redspottedhanky .com before midnight on the same day that you made your booking with redspottedhanky.com in order to make your claim."
to mention just one of the onerous conditions....
DM, I assume you have looked at the relevant railcards, at that sort of price investing in a two together/young persons/senior (delete as applicable) railcard is worth investigating.
Also, this site gives you an idea of when Advance fares become available for different operators (late Oct seems to be current). Not sure when you are travelling, saw it last night but memory like a sieve.0 -
Reporting back on my lifestyle tosco orchard vouchers.
I had 4 vouchers: 1 of £12 off a £12 spend and 3 of £1 off a £3 spend.
Current in store promotion is 3 for 2.
I bought 6 @ £3.50 meals and 3 @ £1 drinks.
So full price would have been £24.
Price in store would have been £16.
Was able to use all the vouchers, total spend was £1:T
(For the truly technical, that £1 spend also gave me 24 clubcard points worth lets say 2p each on a double up, so 48p, plus 24 / 50 of a 2p/ litre off petrol, on a 40 litre fill up that is worth 38p. So total "net net" spend was 14p for £24 of food.)I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. This sometimes happens. I'm sure by the end of the day it'll go to delivered. I think (?) it happens when somebody in the same slot as you has a problem with their order or fails to collect it. All the slots within that time frame remain open until they all become completed/ signed off.

I had a whole conversation with rsh about this. They claimed that occasionally the train operators don't give them all available tickets to sell. So I gave them the specific tickets that were available online at virgin trains and asked if I would be eligible to use their price promise. They wouldn't commit in advance of me buying the tickets through them, so regretfully I decided that I couldn't risk paying the higher price and then finding them not honouring the price promise.
Always always worth checking the train operators own website before booking anything, through TCB or quidco of course.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
