Good morning all
VT So hard for you. You will find support on here and I am sure that many of us echo FC words but she is more eloquent than me
Many years ago when my Dad was ill there was no organised care. We muddled along but it makes me realize how far we have come in 40 years .You know he is getting as much help as is possible and know that practically you cant do it alone but its still not easy. Take care of yourself ((hugs))0 -
Just wanted to say VT sending you a big hug and am sorry to hear about your DDad x0

Morning all.
Gentle hugs to VT and her dad. My mum sometimes has Wiltshire Farm Foods. She's 91 and suffering heart failure, which means that everything, including eating, exhausts her. One of the options they do is what they call Extra Tender meals and she can manage a bit of those. They have a softer texture which might well suit your dad.
I know how difficult it is and feel for you x0 -

Good morning all, lovely and sunny here
VT, I know what you are going through. My mum was ill for a little over a year after she was diagnosed. In the end she was just pushing us all away. The last time she went into hospital she made me swear not to go and visit her, it hurt like hell, especially as she made me promise not to tell father that she had told me not to go in. She knew she would not be coming out. Father never forgave me for not going to see her in that last week
People change when they can see the end, some for the better, some for the worse. All you can do is what he wants you to do, that in itself will help keep him happier. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Good morning all.
