there's this also: (unlikely imo)
Tesco trying to mess with other supermarkets
new ceo so maybe a new idea? perhaps we will see a lot of trials going on
what doesnt make sense to me is the locations.
on in slough yet 8 in bristol and 4 in inverness.
what is the pattern?...
vouchers are useless to tesco. they could probably write it off against tax... and they can also use it to show 'profit'
It will go against tax as a marketing expense.
T and all the supermarkets are measured for performance on total sales and profits - T have been under performing on sales in UK stores against competitors and losing out on sales to Aldi etc. Initiatives like this increase like for like sales (though may not increase profit - but they have been hit more on sales than profit).
The sale is still recorded as the full value of the sale, profit on the transaction is still the same if they record the vouchers against their marketing budget.

Aww QOC. Do some gentle stretching then have a nice hot shower or bath.
Going to Morries in a bit to use my voucher. Only got the one as our freezer isn't that large and it's pretty full already. Glorious sunshine here. I've slightly tanned the tops of my legs but not the bottoms. Looks so funny. Trying to even myself out a bit today :rotfl:
Morninggg
If you eat pork the butchers counter has boneless pork shoulder steaks at £2.59 per kilo.....its nationwide and you can have a whole joint rather than steaks if you like, hth x0 -
Good morning all!
Just collected a vs sains shop-no apg yet but prices charged for Pantene, razor and milk choc cereal bars look promising!
Got a glamour mag from sainsburys with printed metro coupon but Gq coupon was not recognised and they wouldn't override. Not in London and was printed so that may be why.
Have a lovely morning!0 -

I am so broken  I had a crap night sleep because every time I moved I woke up with muscle strain pains
Not sure I can manage much today, not even using the last of my M vouchers
Ouch.
Do you have any magnesium spray hun? It's great for muscle aches.
Holland & barrat sell it or you could get it from a health food store if someone could go for you? I find it really helps. I just spray a few sprays on the back of my calf. Hope you feel better soon?

Good morning. Cold and overcast here and thinking about raining...
My CC order was cancelled due to card being declined. No idea why as it was accepted happily in store this morning as I used the last Sun voucher. (My SADA is taking them.) Only one Sanex and totally bewildered re the trigger since they had this showing as £2 and I thought it was the trigger. Have I got that wrong too please?
Picked up SADA mag and it is probably old news but no MOCs in it.
Am going to take my frustration out on some weeds before it rains!0 -

Having regularly shopped in all stores, I am not sure that Aldi is as cheap as some people seem to think it is. If you shop right (even without glitches) just stocking up when items are on offer or using A APG you can beat Aldi prices.

For me it's not just about price though, I find lidl are better quality and I spend less in total because I buy less crap because there is less overall choice (who really needs so many different options for a pack of sausages, for example??). The prices might not be as cheap as T value, for example, but I find it cheaper for good quality compared to T own or finest. I also feel like I'm being ripped off less as the prices don't seem to be manipulated as much as they are in the bigger supermarkets, although I have found that aspect is changing somewhat in recent weeks/months.0
