Are Mags dailies taking over the world?

This may have already been debated ad infinitum and I've missed it, but come on to comp tonight and so far the first 4 pages I've looked at are all mags dailies.
I seem to be spending what feels like hours scrolling through to find the "proper" competitions. Surely there has to be a better way than this?
Some way to filter them out? Something? Anything!!! It is very frustrating.

You just have to red cross them if you don't enter the mag dailies. I don't enter Twitter comps so on a Friday when there are pages and pages of Twitter comps posted I just red cross them all. It only takes minutes. No big deal

It might be a can of worms, but I did like the forum much better before the rampaging daily hordes arrived.
However I reluctantly bow to the somewhat incomprehensible consensus (I presume there was some sort of consensus?) if there is little point in debating it again.

Blooming daft system all the same. *Grumps off to continue scrolling past......and scrolling past.........etc etc.

Edit - really had no idea there'd been that many threads on the subject. Where have I been? Oh I know, avoiding the dailies.

IPC mags add their latest prizes for a Tuesday, and as most of them are repeated across the magazines it does create lots of threads.

I'm not usually one to wade in and say anything controversial but there have been a few moans lately about how the forum is run so here I go!


There are a lot of people who give up their own free time to run this forum - they do not get paid - and they do a damn good job. Scrolling down a few pages and putting a few red crosses - is nothing - it's nothing compared to how long it would take people to find comps without people willing to run forums like this

is it possible to post the comp & then add the links to all the mags in one post - after all it's one comp - or would this cause problems down the line?
