Mag daily suggestion/request?

I'm a little wary of treading back over this subject, since it's caused some ill feelings, but...

I wondered if all the Mag Daily posts could be consolidated so that there was one listing per prize, rather than one per method of entry.

It seems to me that this would be easier for the people listing the competitions, the people entering them, and the people who want to skip them. But perhaps I'm not taking something into consideration that makes the current method the best.

Any thoughts?

(And I'm very grateful to those who list the competitions, however they are listed! :T)

You're braver than me to start a new thread on the topic of mag dailies

I'm sure some people will have a reason not to do it as you suggest, but I personally would prefer one post per prize with all the comps listed.

Agree, at least in 1 post per prize for all the mags would be better than the current format. They are driving me mad being back on the main board in multiple listings for the same 1? prize...

The only ones I ever like doing are the WW ones due to the no questions bit, but now even if I hover over the ones newly listed I can't see what mag is what unless I click on them.

Much better the way it was done until recently. Or even the way it was done before that with the mag title in the heading.

i do the mag comps every day i dont need every prize from every mag posted on the page there are way to many this time of year anyway with all the advent ones and xmas ones. i think your idea would be perfect its the same prize the same compertition in fact as the winer is drawn from entrants from all magazines so much easier to do 1 post for each prize with multiple entry points and surly that would be quicker and easier for those posting as well as those looking

Since the daily mags have moved back onto the main board I haven't had the time to search for the other competitions.

I dread having to find my way through hundreds of more competitions...

Maybe, but in this case, it's all one competition with multiple routes of entry. It's pretty clear in the T&C that it's the same competition listed in various magazines, not one giveaway per listing.

I totally agree with this suggestion, but it seems pretty clear that nothing is going to change now until after Christmas.

With hindsight, it may have been better to leave the old system in place until the new year and have the whole debate then before making considered changes.

ok so i ranted on this yesterday but just had to come back as this morning i went through 20 pages of comps to only enter 4 lol it was mainly the mags and advents filling up the pages and i had a thought but dont know who to put it to. i always tick prizes ive entered and x prizes i dont want to enter so when i go through the pages i can skip any that have been bumped. would it be possible for any comps you x dissapear from your feed? maybe that could solve the problem so everyone would be happy? although i do feel the idea oh having just one post per prize with multiple entry points would sill be a great idea!!!

Posts disappearing after you X them would require a change in the forum's software, which is a bit out of the scope of this thread.
