Car Bodyshop from my insurance has been intouch with me and have pictures of damage.
Now the person that hit my car his car insurance has just been on the phone and they want to deal with it all, i dont know what to do, never been in this situation before.
Any advice please? as i have to ring them back

The 3rd party insurers will want to handle the claim, it is up to you if you want them to deal with it.

Depends on how old the car is, just be midful that the 3rd party will want to repair to a price rather than to a quality.
A place a 3rd party wanted me to take my car to , another poster on another forum had taken his car there and they hadn't done a good paint job, so I was glad I avoided them, remember you can let an accident management company look after your claim (the insurers seem to be afraid of these companies ) . Good luck with the repair though.

If your insurer repair it you will have to pay an excess until they can recover the costs from the TP insurer. All your insurer will do is pass it on to a claims management company.

TP insurer want to deal with it to avoid unnecessary fees like claims management company fees. For this reason, i'm betting you'll be surprised how quickly they will deal with it.
Ask if they will offer a courtesy car and if so consider taking up the TP insurers offer.

Let their insurer deal with it.

It will, however, almost certainly affect your premium for the next few years. You now have to declare a claim, even though it's not-at-fault and your NCB is untouched. You've been involved in a collision, ergo you are a higher risk.

Just seen the age of your car - low value, so a very high risk of being uneconomical to repair. Remember, you have no contract with them, so (within reason) they can't write it off without your agreement.

Yep. Just the same as when my car was hit a few years ago. Playing with the meerkats showed that my premium rose more by that one not-at-fault claim than by two 3pt photos.
