Cheers. It might be, I have not had my account for 6 months yet. It was just I went into the branch and the Senior Personal Banking Manager got me an offer of a "Duo 2 Gold Package" with a £3000 limit, I have at least £1000 going in per month. He tried to finish of the application on his PC, it would not let him, so he had to speak to another department and they said no it is being declined. Then I complained, and "card concerns" told me they were still not changing the decision, they said they treat everyone on Income Support the same. Which I did not beleive for a minute. James

The other side of the coin is that banks are accused of irresponsible lending to people. I can think of 2 cases in the last year when people killed themselves because of level of indebtness. Some had dozens of cards accounts and loans. It is always the bad old banks fault of course for handing over the facilities.

Oh dear!! Sometimes i think its just down to the branch you are with! I just have a select account, dont want one with a monthly fee, though they keep offering, everytime i go in the bank, they go on abt a "review", i told one cashier, before she even opened her mouth, knew what she was going to say! that i didn't want a review, the look she gave me!lol

I politely decline their kind offer. I am never rude to the front line people because they are acting under instructions from the management. Like a lot of us they are just doing what they have been asked to do.
