Today i have received a call from the fraudsters telling me they need more time to investigate my claims and that is all they can tell me at this moment in time, but did promise a resolution by 5pm today. this remains to be seen.

When I have more news ill post again.

For anyone suffering in the same situation, please add to this thread and complain to watchdog and the customer advice bureau of Trading standards. Don't let the pressure drop on this company looking to make fast cash on upgrades that don't exist!

    Update.

I have just received a call to confirm i will be refunded the amount i have paid for the fraudulent upgrade, and the amount will be in my accouint within 3-4 working days.

message to anyone who has put up with these fraudsters. DO NOT GIVE UP!!

on the call i have also been promised a call from head office to apologise and discuss compensation for the calls i have had to make and the time i have spent.

still keeping the complaint with watchdog and trading standards though because teletext are a crooked bunch of fraudsters!!!

    good result in the end

The fact that teletext have to keep refunding means they know they are in the wrong, but I guess for the amount of daves and aquas there are there will be many who have been charged and do nothing about it.

Teletext...why do you offer something you dont have and then charge £80 for it?

Agree; Trading Standards say over 90% of people with valid complaints give up and Companies know this.
  • i'm having the same problem contacting them. i'm going to keep on until i get a response.

i'm sending a letter by Recorded Delivery tomorrow with receipts etc for their error. Hopefully i'll get a refund - or perhaps i'll escalate it and get in touch with trading standards
