MET Parking Services (McDonald's West Brom)

Ok looks like my 1st post didn't post when my notebook gave up the ghost..
April this year I got an offer to pay MET £100 or £50 if I made an early payment for over staying my welcome at Mcdonalds by 18 mins. Looked on hear and found relevant info to deal with MET. Tried the McD manager, waist of time other than she said use the appeal process.
Long story short using the info from this site my appeal to POPLA was allowed on the 9th July. Never came back to check after net book failed as was dealing with an Industrial Tribunal Case since February. Only found out this didn't when I posted about issue with parking eye Telford. I can post type out POPLA response and assessors name if required. (tribunal now closed after company settled out of court)

    Hi

I have just posted on your Telford Bridge one, before seeing this, so it is good you clearly know the process.

If you can put the gist of the decision on the POPLA Decision thread that would be good. If it is a little unusual type it out, but if it is either a straight forward GPEOL win in or a case of PSDSU (Parking. S....didn't show up) just say that and the name of the assessor. It's good for Newbies to read about the successes.,

  • I received a letter from Met Parking Services for staying in McDonalds, Great West Road. I never paid any fine and just did not reply, except,
to really p... them off, I sent each piece of paper back to them in an envelope with NO STAMP on it, I did this each time they wrote, which was 7 times. It costs them money each time and after 7 letters they got fed up and that was the end of the matter. Never pay any fine they send you, and return everything in un -stamped envelopes, they soon get fed up, and give up.

Ah yes, cost them a few pennies by sending their letters back unstamped, that'll definitely stop ParkingEye filing 20,000 court claims a year. I can't imagine why we never thought of this before.

Is the Great Western Road in Glasgow Maverick? Because we are under different regs than the rest of the UK. And it is not a fine and anyone who calls it a fine is veru unqualified to coment on anything to do with it.

Either Maverick22 is extremely misguided as He is essentially encouraging people to ignore and not deal with PCNs. Which is fine if you are on Scotland but not if England or Wales.

Or he is not a real person and is deliberately giving misleading advice. Which might suggest he has an interest in the way people respond to PCNs.

I cannot comment either way. It this was his first and only post, so I treat such posts with great suspicion!

London, just opposite Heathrow. Bought food in there etc and was sent penalty by Met Parking because I was there nearly 2 hours. Photo showed car but you couldn't pick out who the driver was.
