Challenge achieved for now I lost 5lb this week so total is now 2s 9lb. 1 more weigh until our holidays and 9 more until theatre school reunion.

Glad Ginge is improving. I do think flylady vibes are the reason dance pops survived earlier this year x

Soz, Lamewolf, I have no idea how to change a duvet cover single-handedly with pegs. I just flip it over! (The superking, that is, which is a beast to wrestle with on my own, weighs a ton because it's a 13.5 tog fevver one in the coldest room in the house.)

I was with you, JTTOU, doing the shower room and bathroom. You may not have been able to feel my pain, but I was sharing yours!
    Better is good enough.

sorry late in brill news about Ginge, but sending continued healing vibes to get him back to fully recovered soon.

hope all are well, hugs good wishes, positive vibes sticks and spoons where needed.

flying off list today - mostly in the garden. and just had a phone call to say mil can come home later, so been and restocked her fridge. seems really quiet here with DS2 away at scout camp.

sorry LW cant offer advice re the duvet changing, but how about putting another clean sheet under so you arent actually touching the duvet cover

  • LW. I usually put the duvet cover flat on the bed then wriggle the quilt up to the top two corners. Then you could put a matching peg on each corner to hold them in place before wriggling the rest in to the bottom corners. Then peg those to help you shake it all about!!!!

I think the actual method is something about having duvet cover inside out - but not sure how that works or if indeed it would work on a superking fevver. Best of luck.

Think the idea about another flat sheet under the duvet is the one I'd be inclined to go with.

turn the duvet cover inside and put hands inside hold one corner in each hand grab the bottom two corners of duvet with the hands you have inside the cover and turn the cover so it drops over the duvet keeping hold of the corners give it a good shake so it drops down over the duvet. you can put pegs on the 2 corners now inside the cover if you like but i don't bother get the other 2 duvet corners and put them into the corners of the cover and again give a good shake to straighten it out. It sounds more complicated than it is or i have made it sound complicated with how i described it but very easy realy.

I boss Mr Pig to do ours .. some people don't change them for months.. just let it go a week or so. I do use a top sheet too though so it isn't touching flesh!
