I note you don't refer to the Scottish government as the 'Edinburgh' government.and I note you don't live under, nor plan to live under, the Edinburgh government but that you just love the 'democratic' European Government that requires no reform what so ever.I'm surprised that you don't also live under a local government but that's just me.
You don't really read any post carefully unless it has the phrase "hate their neighbours" do you? There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
the 'Edinburgh' government..
Don't get me started.
Devolution was a monumental mistake.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

It started off badly in Scotland. Ridiculous overpriced building instead of the High School which could have been .... Never mind, move on. Got better I hear.
Devolution in my part of England is very popular and successful; glad I voted YES for it.
Don't let Clapton hear you criticise devolution though. He's quite sold on the Devo Max that the Swiss cantons have (and maybe the Australian states too).
And it's no bad thing that Edinburgh got the parliament seeing as how Glasgow's the business, industrial, media, cultural and retail capital anyway. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I've not expressed a view on devolution in general and I'm not sold on the devo max or the Swiss cantons arrangement either.
I've only comments on them in terms of SNP supporters suggesting that such arrangement some-how justify breaking up the UK : mad I know.
Quite prepared to consider such arrangements if there were structured proposals.
One notes that several cities rejected the opportunity to have there own executive mayors.
My main point is not about whether Scotland should vote YES or NO but about the reasons why they make the choice.0
