Hello, I cannot get on with my Bberry Z10 basically even now it will not sync with Outlook via USB. Contacts are not transferred and the calender does not work at all.

I am in contract till April 2015 but fortunately I kept my battered old Bold it is still working. How do I transfer my number to my old Bold. Is it just a question of getting a Sim card and ringing EE/Orange?

The Bold did these tasks perfectly and I was not bothered with a lot of Facebook etc rubbish.

We need more serious phones for work, the old Bberry did this to perfection.

Sorry about the silly question, answers will be appreciated.

Can you not transfer the Sim from one phone to another? Or do they use different types?

*It could be as simple as popping your current SIM, together with an adapter, into the old Bold.
The issue is that you won't have a BIS package attached to that SIM. Though they might be able to add one for you. Just make sure they don't try to extend your contract.

You can't port your number over, because you are still in contract. So unless you pay to get out of contract, you are stuck.

So your choices are to simply put the Z10 SIM in to the Bold and to add a BIS package or to pay up for the rest of your contract and then get them to transfer your number to the SIM of your choice.

*You can pick up a Combi SIM for nothing or up to £0.99p, snap out the Micro SIM within and snap yours in. Then you can slot the whole thing in to your Bold.

Will ring EE and ask, cannot see why they would ask for money as obviously I would carry on paying until the contract ends.

Z10 does not need Blackberry Internet Service(BIS). The Blackberry Bold does need BIS for full function.
Whether they can add BIS to your current package is another thing altogether.

5 stars to EE no charge for the BIS, no lengthening of contract.

Good news. Are they supplying a new SIM or will you adapt your existing SIM?
