Just logged into My Orchard Tesco, and I've been invited to a programme - icecream and gelato :j
I'm getting a £3 voucher, so me and the DDs can pick out something yummy!

Well most of the bills have gone out, I've transferred dh's money, tucked the £300 mortgage fee away safely, transferred the money for the DDs ballet classes, and paid for the new windscreen.

I'll feel better when dh is home and I can get the joint bank card back from him

Just out of interest is it a Wii U or just a regular Wii you have? Because a normal Wii does play DVDs - (but I suspect you may have a Wii U)

Good news is that you can pick a DVD player for under a tenner these days on ebay and the like.

And just a point on your SOA - re: Sky TV - when I spent a week last year renegotiating all me and my wifes bills Sky was the first to go and (apart from car insurance) was our biggest saving. When we looked at what we actually watched we figured that 95% of the programmes were available on the freeview channels. I lost British Eurosport - which is the only channel I miss still, for the cycling coverage - all the rest of the channels I haven't missed once. And we have NOWtv for movies (8.99 a month) now which is probably our one luxury as a family!!

This may work for you too?

Most of my diary is me just typing aloud, so mostly complete nonsense!

We have a regular wii, is the wii u the one with the tablet thingy for a controller? We do not have that one. I must be doing something wrong with it!

Luckily my lovely dad has offered me a TV with a built in DVD player, (ours is the same but the DVD part doesn't work!) so I'll probably have that from him. I'm very grateful of all the stuff he throws my way

Yes I agree, I watch a lot of free view channels aswell, (I love a good trashy documentary on channel 5 ).
I use my sisters Netflix account and the kids have loads of films and things to watch online, just need to convince him we don't need sky. He mentioned going on a proper sunshine holiday next year (despite 3 out of 4 of us not liking the heat, but oh well) so sky money saved can go towards that.

More cleaning and sorting done, got a few bits on freecycle to go and some bits on fb selling pages.

Moved the DDs room around and put up their tent so they are busy trashing it, while I wait for their tea to cook!

The spare room looks more like room, it's a dumping ground at the moment, but I can actually see the floor! Theres also a cash for clothes just down the road from me apparently so I can shift the two big bags in there on Monday!
Need to crack on and paint it!

The DDs need a roller blind for their room, they have two windows and 2 sets of curtains is a bit much!
So I'm using the blind from the spare room (I never close it anyway)
So there's no cost plus I'm going to sell the curtains (they are relatively new) and my nice friend has offered me her roller blind when her new one comes in a few weeks.
So I'm all sorted!

I want to make my food shopping last till at least next Monday (not this one coming :eek:)
I definitely need milk (and chocolate and my 17p cola )
Also I may have to feed dh from mid month but he can contribute a bit to that.

Ahh that sounds familiar haha! I held out on sky for ages until I looked at it logically and then saved a small fortune by switching!
