So, as a wonderful start to the month (not!) I have to have my windscreen replaced! £65 excess. :(

I have a remortgage appointment tomorrow and get to give them £300 but hopefully we'll save £90 a month.

My lovely dad offered to watch the DDs whilst I have the mortgage appointment, so I'm going to grab the Christmas pressies I want for dd2 while I'm there then nip to smyths to get dd1's lego bits.

Got a few more bits to put on fb selling pages and then the cash for clothes place when I'm passing (saving petrol and all that :o)

Well I have 2child free hours, as they've gone out for tea with my mother.
So ive put washing out as it's stopped raining and gone really hot here. Tidy the garden and moved the play house, listed toys on fb selling pages (sold one thing already!), tidy up my bedroom, I've hot all my books in there now, sorted out next terms uniform. Dd1 is quite neat and tidy with clothes so I keep all her hand me downs for dd2, who isn't so neat and tidy, bless.
I've moved the girls room around and put a TV and the wii in there for them.

I was going to buy them a TV for their room as a joint christmas present, because I wanted to get them a pink one or a white one, when we've got a small black TV sat in used in the spare room, so I've saved myself £70 odd quid and used the black one, I've hooked the wii up to it so they can watch DVDs and play games, so they'll have a nice surprise when they get back :D

It does seem ridiculous I'm talking About games consoles and spare Tvs then saying ooh look at my debt, but I think the TV was gifted to us, dh used to have it at work and we bought the wii ages ago, before the dreaded overdraft and store card.
Why I feel I need to justify that to myself I don't know.

My lovely Aunty has sent me a fab zip up jumper, which is lovely and will be perfect for Autumn (my favourite season, I don't do well with heat!) which is brilliant as my wardrobe is very minimal, I wear things till they fall apart, which irks me as I want them to last forever :p and I hate shopping for myself and I hate spending money on myself, dh has no trouble in that department, he must have about 40 t-shirts and his jeans are in double figures, plus whatever clothes he hides from me at work!
I have one pair of nice trousers and one blouse to wear, if I ever get a job interview:o

Tonight I'm going to check the bank, and whatever's in there pay off the Argos card tonight, as it's payday tomorrow, also dh is getting paid more than I thought which is good, though I told him I could give £200 in his account for August (he's away with work doesn't need petrol/food money) and he said well Ill only need £200 but put £300 in for me :wall:
Oh bless him, he wants to save and pay off our debt but he's clueless :rotfl:

    Thanks Olivia-Louise :)

Well just checked the bank and dh has been paid early, not that I'll touch it until all the bills go out, paid £42 off the Argos card :j which was left in the bank from Julys wages. So I'm pleased it's going down but it's a lot to pay off :o

Once that's paid I can start on the overdraft, I think it needs to be paid off in increments of £100.
Dh has a claim in at work for medical negligence so if he gets any compensation that can go towards the overdraft if not then no matter, he's all better now anyway.

I'm excited about my little bit of Christmas shopping tomorrow, sad person that I am haha. :D

I'm going to try the Virtual Savings Pot and transfer all the loose change as it were into another account along with the savings, and see how I do. :p

Well you know what they say about best laid plans, turns out wii consoles don't play DVDs , we've had it for years surprised I never tried a DVD in it ?! Oh well, I may have to find a cheap DVD player for them, or try and put some films on a memory stick, though that's more dh's department, he's very into his (expensive) technology.

Just found I have skirt of dd2's i have to return tomorrow, so I'll swap it for knickers for her, so that will save me £5. I also found a receipt for some pjs I bought for Christmas for dh's step sisters, step daughter (!) I couldn't get the same pjs for the other stepdaughter, so I might return them and get the both the same (I like matching lol) though the presents our dds get from the step sister and partner are pretty crappy to be honest, like they really couldn't be bothered, so I may just get the step kids a nice story each and some bubble bath. Which is nice but cheap IMO.

Going to look for some school shoes for dd2 tomorrow, the are oos in her size online so I'll try the actual shop. The amount of things I'm planning on doing tomorrow my dad'll still be looking after the kids at tea time! Just hope the mortgage appointment goes quickly .:)

Whilst the DDs are emptying the fridge and re enacting Frozen upstairs, I'll shall fill out my diary.

Up shot of (very long) mortgage meeting is fixed rate 3 year, at £518.18 a month, with no upfront fee (:j) though I'm not telling dh that, just a £95 remortgage fee and potentially £167 payment to our existing mortgage company to push us into 15% equity and therefore better rates.
So we shall save approx £70 a month which will be squirrelled away into savings/debt re payments.

    Payday today :j

    Monthly Income/Outgoings My Account

    In
    £200
    £5.……………from selling 2 silver chains

    £205

    Out
    £16............phone bill
    20.04..........petrol
    £3.09...........ebay selling fees
    £50..............food shopping
£4.00............. 10 school socks, returned skirt got £2 socks should have been £6
£25.48..........argos Christmas pressies, forgot to use my cash! so I'll pay that money back into the bank on Tuesday. Plus £3.00 change from cash purchase present.

    Total
£93.39 on Tuesday will be £118.89

Also I have an extra £5 in my purse which has thrown me, I may hang on that rather than pay it in.

    confused much!

Working out that in terms of food shopping I have (rounded down) £94 to spend (hope I won't spend all that)
And £24 for activities, plus the £5 in my purse, I'll buy the rest of the school uniform when my child benefit comes in.

Couldn't find the shoes I wanted for dd2

But pleased I got a great bargain on Xmas pressies.

    Dd1
    lego friends jungle base
    Was £34.99' used gift voucher £11.03 so I paid £23.96 :j

    Play dough set. £9.99
