Just to update you, the valuation was yesterday and we've received the confirmation that it's been valued at the full amount today. We've been told to expect our formal offer within the next 2 days.
  • That's great! Congratulations. You must be really pleased!

Thanks, yes we are pleased, especially as it was Husbands birthday yesterday. We were able to go out without worrying about the valuation! Hope yours are going well too!

That's great news and brilliant that you have the stress off of your shoulders now! We are still waiting for our valuation date... They haven't taken the £355 from my bank account yet... Nervous!

P.S. How quickly was the valuation fee debited from your bank, if you don't mind me asking? :)

We got the valuation and homebuyers survey together. They took the fee on the same day that they contacted the estate agent to book it. The surveyor called us before and after the survey and valuation, but I think that was because of us having the homebuyers survey.

Thanks for letting us know. Good luck with your new home! X

  • Application was keyed last Monday (28 July)... Still no news on the valuation being booked in. Reckon we will hear from them this week?! Hoping so... Experian account isn't showing a credit search since the mortgage decision in principle on 18/7.

Anyone out there in the same boat as us with Halifax HTB scheme?

    Thanks

Yeah we're in the same position, application was sent in 16/07/2014 and valuation completed on the 18/07 and we're still waiting for some news :(
