What do i do now? Who do i complain to?
Hi all,
I bought a phone from OneStopPhoneShop on approx. 6th of June and i specified that i wanted my t-mobile number ported to my new contract on 02.
Everything went fine, however i knew the porting was supposed to take 5 working days and i noticed that even 10 days later my t-mobile sim was working fine and worryingly, my PAC number (required for porting) was about to expire soon.
I emailed O2 who just send out a completely standardised email on how to port your number. I also phoned T-mobile to ask if anything had happened from their end and the guy said it looked like nothing had changed. I emailed 02 again who just sent me a semi-standardised email saying they needed x,y and z to port my number and they still needed his information and so on.
Eventually ,the PAC number expired. So i contacted OSPS who said they were not the policyholders of the contract and thus did not carry out the porting so i should contact O2 directly. So i contacted 02 and explained i had the PAC number which expired and now what do i do?
I also mentioned that because i had entered all the pac code info on the OSPS site then the porting should have occurred without me having to do it rather manually as a middleman with 02 if you know what i mean. Again, i got another semi-standardised email back saying the PAC number i had provided them had expired and to get a new one and to also provide them with the number to be ported, the SIM number and the temporary phone number (no-one had provided my with a temp. number).
So i contacted T-mobile who gave me a new PAC code and emailed 02 saying i knew the number to be ported, i had a new valid PAC code and i had the number on my SIM but i had no temporary mobile number. To my outrage, i received another semi-standardised email saying to port your number you need w,x y and z and you need to provide us with the temporary mobile number. I was really angry because i had already specified that and we have been continuing in this circular fashion for a while now seeing as i have had the (unused) phone for over a month now and i have sent about 10 emails each with the same semi-standardised response that does not deal with my query at all.
I am not sure what to do now? Should i complain, and if so who to and where i can't find a complaints address on 02's site and should i ask for compensation?
Any advice would be much appreciated as i need to start using this phone before it becomes defunct!
Cheers
