Getting new sim from Vodafone when I join
Options
Hi
I'm looking to join vodafone from Orange when my current contract runs out. The deal I have seen is for Nokia 105 blue with £440 automatic cash back paying £26.50 per month. It was from mobiles.co.uk.
My question is, if I were to get this deal, what would I need to do to still use my current phone? (iPhone 5s). The reason I ask is because the phone in this deal uses a different sim needed in my iphone.
Would I just need to order a new mini sim from Vodafone to use in my iphone? (After I bought the new contract with you)
Would there be a charge for this?
Thanks

iPhones are always locked to the network so you would first need to ask orange to unlock it for you. You would get a sim that fits the phone you get on the new contract but you can go into a vodafone shop afterwards and request they change it for a mini one. I have never been charged for changing sims and have needed to do it a couple of times with vodafone.0

Ok thanks. I don't suppose you'd know if it costs to unlock do you?
Suppose I could just ask orange
Thanks again0 -
Orange charge about £23 and they quote 30 days, but it tends to come through quicker than that. My wife's i5 was done in less than a week.0

Ok thanks for that0
